The season Shanahan put together in 97 is literally one of the best ever. He fought all the biggest heavyweights, played physical every night, got almost 50 goals, set up a bunch of clutch goals and got the cup.

An original 6 match up on HNIC in the 90's was always worth catching. I was 21 and took my girlfriend to a sports bar as a "date" to catch this game. Granted we lived in Detroit, so that would fly in the late 90's.
