It is a great RC, just needs lots of upgrade if you really run it.

I've been eyeballing the currie sway bars in the back for my build, but the head's up on the SSD axles was a nice touch. I'm using your build as reference for my TT build, but I am gonna add the 2-speed transmission though

Good deal! The SSD rear center is nice! This is my second one and really has performed. The Currie rear sway bar is decent, but I honestly can never get it tight. I know other people have had the same problem, even good loctite won't keep it locked down.

Chandler I know, huh? I hate to go to the dark side.....but I’ve been running the China version of them lately. 1.9’s fully built (hardware and SLW type hubs) are about $40 a set vs nearly $200 for the VP’s. And really, the only thing missing is the “Method” logo.....and they’re all metric!

the HD axles are mandatory on 4s, snapped the stock sdd ones with less than 5 mins of running.

I always thought that the chassis was supposed to bottom out before the shocks. Maybe it's just the angle of the camera but it looks like your shocks bottom out before your chassis is even close to the ground.

Yeah, it's prbably a good idea, but with full aluminum shocks, I don't think I be blowing caps off. Once I run it, I will know!

Hey Rich, what was your opinion that SSD axle? Were you still bending axles? I'm getting ready to start a build, and plan on using alot of what you did as a template. I loved the yeti, but it's been on the shelf for wayyy to long.

The SSD wide diamond is the best one on the market....even now. Although I still bent a couple of axles, it was toward the very end. But bent far fewer than as stock or with the regular VP XR60 axles

Hi, awesome looking yeti. Question...what is the brand/part# for the front shock tower? Do you know if the vanquish shock adjuster would work with the vanquish shock tower? I mean, your tower doesn't look as thick as vanquish at the mount of that adjuster. Thanks

This Yeti was using the Axial Aluminum shock tower....Yes, the VP shock adjuster will work with most shocks towers - it just attaches to the tower

The primary springs on those proline shocks look like they are completely bottomed out, even without the battery in the truck. Are they not intended for a much lighter truck?

David H I ended up with stiffer springs all the way around...yes, the stock powerstrokes are intended for the Slash

I would love to know what springs you finally ended up with. Every installation of the Powerstoke shocks that I have seen on a Yeti shows the primary springs flattened by the extra weight.

May I ask, but how did you get the rear slash shocks to work on the front I bought a set but they were to long?

Mine fit on perfect. One of the PL engineers tipped me off on running the Rears - He used to run the Pro-Spec fronts on the front (as did I)

What tires are these? Been looking for some for my rock rey something to bash around with and nice amd flat like these

They're Ottsix Voodoo U4 tires - I'd get the hardest compound if you bash...also be aware, most do not come with inserts, you need the Crawler Innovation Deuces Wild inserts

I'm changing the slipper clutch in my yeti and the gear is stuck, i cant remove it, what can i do?

Jacob Abshear the Spur gear? It should just be riding on a plastic bushing on the topshaft. Removing the 7mm but should release everything.
