Long time watcher of your videos. I just ordered an Axiom CNC and debating on going to their in house training or online training. Did you do either of their trainings or just figure out on your own? Keep up the great content representing what really matters most!
@ChristcrossCrafts Жыл бұрын
I did go to their in-house training. They don't cover much on the CNCs themselves. The class is focused on Vectric. The instructor was very good. The downside is you leave hoping to retain what was taught live... which is tough. I later became friends with a guy who does it completely online. It's a one-time fee and you can log in, start, stop, re-watch, etc. as many times as needed. He starts at the beginning and walks through every part of Vectric. He has two course options - 1) for V-carve and 2) for Aspire. I wish I would have had this to start and it would have been so much easier. academy.learnyourcnc.com/

Thanks for the video pal. Last month I set up my ar6 and love it too. No regents so far. I agree she is solid and this being my third Cnc I definitely feel I bought the best of the best 👍👍👍

How do you like this vs the elite? From a set up perspective do they come shipped any different? Currently undecided if I was to get the Pro or the Elite so looking into the both
@ChristcrossCrafts Жыл бұрын
The Elite is much better, which is why I upgraded to it. It has a taller gantry height, servo motors instead of steppers, more standard accessories (like the stand, toolbox, LEDs, etc.) and a MUCH better controller with more features. The AR8 comes assembled in either model (with the exception of the Z motor), but the stand will still require assembly. If you weigh out the price difference between the two, you will see the value going with the Elite makes sense.

@@ChristcrossCrafts thanks for the speedy response. Yeah I think I’ll get the Elite, I did some digging into the controller and it’s a lot nicer. I think it’s definitely the way to go. Thanks!
@ChristcrossCrafts Жыл бұрын
@Jimmeh that controller would be the only one that would allow future upgrades like an auto tool changer.
@jeddyp416 Жыл бұрын
@@ChristcrossCrafts oh that I didn’t know. I knew there was talk of an ATC only on the elites (in the forums) because of wiring but I didn’t know it was specially the controller. Awesome, another check mark for the elite column.

The noise reduction was the thing we noticed most going from a router to an air-cooled spindle...sooooooo much better.
@ChristcrossCrafts3 жыл бұрын
For sure. It's bad when you hear your router over your dust collector.

Hmmm...for machine of that price, it's pretty odd they didn't add support bearings for those ballscrews...but if it works fine, it's ok. :)

I agree. When editing something went wrong and the audio ended up higher than when added. Since this video has a long history, I don't want to remove it and YT won't allow me to simply mute the music. I do plan on uploading a version with no music soon based on several requests. Thanks for watching.

I appreciate the voice over, but the music is too much

I don't know why people do VO on their videos with music in the background. Makes no sense at all.

It's horrible. I know. I can't remove the music without muting it all. YT won't let me mute it and voice-over. I have too many views to take it down and upload again. Here we are.

@@JF32304 I try and mix it up now.. I've learned content and viewer needs a little more.. I love it. I've since upgraded to the Elite due to a couple customer needs that justified it.
