Axle Bearing Replace - Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ Project Part 13

Today is Axle Bearing Replace on our Project Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ! We've been working hard on our Project WJ and its getting close to completion! One of the last major things we have to do to it is fix the worn out bearings in the rear axle. Thanks guys! You showed what the other videos never do - the different shaft diameters / steps at the seal and bearing end. I was confused about how far to press the new bearings on, but your vid shows the step to press it against. Thanks again. Really enjoy the back and forth banter you guys add

Hint: Use old split bearing inner race and bearing retainer ring as pushers for the new bearing and bearing retainer, to avoid jamming the retainer plate bolts against the press arbor.

That groove isn't to allow drippins' out, but for the wheel speed sensor to fit through that area.

You need to put the bearing and sleave on the freezer for a while before pressing, makes it easier!@

We did end up getting it out with heat and brute force. “Can’t be stuck if it’s a liquid!” Thanks for the comment’
