UAE regulations require passenger car tyres to be sold within 2 years of the date of their manufacture and changed within 5 years. To check the age of tyres look for production date on their sidewalls which indicate the week and year they were manufactured.

One thing he said is not right as per motor vehicles dept. You can legally upsize the tire/alloy size to the size in top model of the same car. eg, If top model has 18inch alloys, that's the maximum legally allowed alloy size. Same applies to the tire size as well.

I dont aggree to the point that new tyres need to be replaced on rear, Because, most of indian cars are front wheel drive, on a bad road, if you are stuck some where, you need that grip on front wheel, and it does not help if the new tyres are on rear.
