I think the use of Nigeria was a bad idea. Most Nigerians don’t identify that strongly with Nigeria, they have various ethnic identities that supersede the national one. Why do Somalian citizens travel all the way to the UK, when they could live a life far closer to their known cultural habits, by just moving to their neighbour country, Kenya? Whilst Kenya doesn't have the same financial opportunities of the UK, it is, on the whole, relatively safe. And there are plenty of their countrymen there already.
