Just a quick note, this song is the beginning of the second act. Some actors who played certain characters in act one now play different characters in act two. The actor who played Lafayette now plays Thomas Jeffersom, the actor who played Hercules Mulligan now plays James Maddison, the actress who played Peggy Schuyler will be introduced as Maria Reynolds, and the actor who played John Laurens will soon be introduced as Hamilton's son, Phillip. Also, the man who first welcomed Jefferson before Hamilton was George Washington, not Aaron Burr. I'm really glad that you're continuing with this musical. I cannot wait for the next installment!!!

The reason the song is like that is because Jefferson is supposed to be this rock and roll star since hes really popular in France

The change in tone of the song symbolizes that Jefferson is behind the times. Everyone was already singing in fast rap and hip-hop but Jefferson is still using old jazzy music from before just like how King George III is stuck using old colonial style music. America was progressing and creating new ideals while the British were stuck at their old ideals, refusing change. Jefferson is just a little behind but he'll catch up soon enough.

One thing you'll notice as you go along is that Thomas Jefferson while certainly talented and intelligent is a cocky jerk. Lazy Eule illustrated this with him pushing Sally down without a care. Next up is the first Cabinet Battle! Gunsandboatsandgunboats is my recommendation for Cabinet Battle #1

That wasn't Aaron it was Washington, you keep getting them confused. In animatics Washington is a bit larger than Aaron and his voice is a bit softer (or different in a way) than Aaron's. In the next song (Cabinet Battle #1) It starts off with Washington and I don't think Aaron is in it at all.
