The reason why retrofit was so good was because of the ammo economy with FTTC and the synergy with Gyrfalcon providing crazy damage because of volatile rounds. Speleologist has neither of those aside from the ammo economy and damage if you happen to be fighting a vehicle which is very rare.

Even without Volatile it had good total damage, because of the ammo economy; but even with that, it was only ever good for long damage phases like Warlord's final boss or Kelgorath in Heist: Mars. CoolGuy summed up Speleologist best though; it's a stand in weapon for others that are time gated or a massive pain to farm: Avalanche can be a better platform for Incandescent, and Fixed Odds can be a better platform for Killing Tally. Since I have a god roll of both of those, I crafted my Speleologist into a Solar Retrofit, just in case there's a long phase boss in a Solar Surge that moves too much to plink at with Whisper, but I admit it's niche....

I never thought firefly/incandescent on Nullify was a good idea if you’re going for solar builds. Firefly can be a detriment with ember of searing because you’re killing ads too fast. This is why I sometimes prefer Zaouli’s Bane over Sunshot. You’re better off going with heal clip to work better with ember of benevolence.

It's mostly because it's not only a unique combo found only on the Nullify but the Firefly kills spread Incandescent, allowing Inan to spread further. It's the better perk combo for pure weapon strength. However I do agree Heal Clip would be much better if you're looking to use it with more subclass synergy.

Beacon rounds is fun but it's as needed as tracking on rocket launchers as a perk, IE very much optional. IMO it's nowhere as useful as perks like heal clip or field prep

IMO they really need to start being creative now with these perk roll combinations and start doing unique legendaries because every season now feels like im just grinding the same rolls with just different origin petks.

They should release a curated weapon that has a PVE and PVP roll baked in with the new origin trait, like what they did with the hand cannon Epochal Integration. Might not seem much different than the seasonal Vendor weapon we get from leveling Crucible, Vanguard, Gambit, but it'd be nice to get two of these curated rolls in case one doesn't appeal to some.

Abberant Action, The Call, Nullify, Non-Denoument, Martyrs, Scintillation, Pro Memoria, Lost Signal, and The Riposte are my favorite weapons this season. I actually loved all the Exotics too. Khovostov, Chorus Of One, Microcosm, Euphony....all wonderful.

I love my corrasion with high impact reservers and high ground. High ground is such a slept on pve perk. It’s basically identical to rampage but with the option to instantly get max stacks just by being at higher elevation.

PSA!!! Perfect Paradox and Marty's Retribution can be farmed with double perks if you run Enigma Protocol and only loot the first chest, then reset. If you don't claim the second/final chest. All weapon drops will be double perk.

Every time I try a wave frame they piss me off and never shoot where I want. The inconsistency of the gun type annoys me so much. Same with the spike grenade, idk how many times I've hit a flat surface just for it to be aiming at the ground lol

I know nullify is good but for a raid weapon I'm surprised he didn't mention Non-denouement arc bow that can roll voltshot. Being a bow every time you fire it procs volt shot. Add in the origin trait and impulse amplifier to make it super fast or even use strategist for more class ability.

For healing there should be a glowing light above a teammate that only has 20% health left so you can know they need to be healed otherwise who’s going to pay attention

Corrasion i couldn't justify another arc pulse with volt shot but high impact with frenzy makes the dps insane when both are active. Paired with the artifact and it's a pulse version of thunderlord 😂

Idk I think heavy bursts are good but I just feel like they’re not THAT good. The pause between burst isn’t long but enough to where beefy enemies are bombarding you. The support frame yes is good as a support weapon but that’s it. The damage is trash and firing it ADS still has projectiles with travel time. That is the worst thing on the gun mixed with the damage I gave it try’s too and enemies die so slow and my shots feel weaker than all the autos and I genuinely hate the feel of it PERIOD. Besides those all the other picks are great. I just feel there’s something better than those specific 2
