I was looking forward to this, folks saying free to play but the early access is paid only. Never played a game like this so I have no clue if I'll enjoy it. I might try it when it gets a full release as long as it doesn't pull one of those 3-4 years early access only moves. Until than everything is a spoiler.

PoE2 is a purely single player experience. Yes it has multiplayer option, but PoE 1 in a party is awful. This game is specifically designed to be able to solo everything, even through the entire endgame. It's going to be an amazing single player experience. But you have to reroll your character every season to play new content. You don't get attached to your characters in PoE because they are irrelevant when each new season arises. But for single players who want a deep RPG experience, this'll be great. There won't be any Destiny esque content scratches in this game though. Which is fine if you want a multi layered single player game where you start fresh every few months.

I hate these style of games honestly. Because they put so much into the graphics and all but I can barely see it. The scale is just too small. I don't feel like I'm taking part with the character. There's exceptions. Like the strategy chess-like games that are repetitive and not in depth.

I just can't get behind this game. The lack of customization just kills it for me. I'm sure the game play is dope, but I hate the way the monk looks, and that's the class i want to play. But I'm not investing 100 hours into a character I have no agency over. It doesn't even have to be complicated. Just let us choose the class, the gender, maybe a hairstyle and color. Just something to make it feel like it's our character.

POE is big dude, its been around for a decade. Diablo peaked 24 years ago and has failed to innovate on every single iteration since diablo 2. POE has succeeded in innovateing year on year. Diablo 3, Diablo immortal and Diablo 4 are microtransaction storefronts pretending to be games. POE is a well developed game with depth and a low cost pro consumer model. The only thing path of exile and diablo have in common is that they are both isometric ARPG's

Here's the thing as much as people say 'oh these games have so much free content.' Yeah now, now it's free. Wasn't before and wasn't for years until the last few years in WoW's case. In case of PoE. 30 bucks to get beta access. Outside of that have you seen how much the cosmetics cost? You don't just get 'free' content they need a way to make money and keep the game alive this applies to the like various bundles and tiers. This applies to Warframe and there 150 dollar prime frames. Nothing is free other people are just drowning them in money so it's free for you.
