When I picked up this gun in the gun store, I immediately realized how much better it felt in the hand than my Glock 17. Bought it on the spot and sold the 17.

I have the original p01 and love it. You can do more with the trigger system in the original vs the omega.

Supposedly, CZ discontinued the P01 Omega due to reports of the decocker "walking" out. Also, the standard P01 trigger can obtain slightly better performance when modified.
@AZTrigger2 ай бұрын
@@Sirgromulus I have read that before but have never seen that happen - unless somebody reassembles the lower incorrectly. It is still the same system used in the P-07 and P-09.

What does walking out mean? I'm new to firearms and have a p01 omega. Don't wana have a ND
@SirgromulusАй бұрын
@akhilnarain1635 The decocker actually comes out of the frame and leaves the trigger inoperable.

I have seen a czp07 decocker literally break and luckily I had a Snapchat in the chamber when it did the hammer went all the way home and struck the firing fan they acted like it was no big deal didn't even want to replace it so I just wanted to park from Cajon and I don't use a decocker assembly in any of theirs that if she's a manual safety

I prefer my p01 omega over my shadow 2 compact. But the shadow 2 compact in single action with a larger safety selector and stiffer detent spring is a great gun

Enjoyed the video. Now, for my opinion. At present i enjoy my 2 SP-0i's, 75B ('96 model) and original P-01. I would probably have jumped on the 09 if CZ had retained the rubber style grip portion of the 3 CZ's above along with the mag well on the Poly frame and not the basically "flat sided" grip. Just my 2 cents worth. CGW all four.

The shadow 2 compact is da/sa, not single action only. It doesn’t have a decocker though.

Can you retrofit a decocker?

Have a 75Sp01 and absolutely love it. Looking at the 75 PCR, for a compact option… thoughts compared to this P01….really don’t need a rail for a light

Problems with mine: The de-cock levers are sharper than hell and rough to operate. I'm left-handed and the right one tears the shit out of my support hand. I managed to get the safety in, but doesn't work. With spring kits, I did get the pulls down to 3&8 pounds. I also needed Dawson sights because it was shooting 3" low at 10 yards. If I had it to do aver again, I wouldn't !

I would put the P229 vs this. But I'm not really a CZ fan so....

I got a sig m11a1 and a cz75 compact. Both great. Hard to pick a favorite.

The Shadow 2 compact is a traditional double/single action pistol, just like the P-01. It is not single action only.
@thelittledetailscr72312 ай бұрын
Nah that would be the p226.
@markjohnson2062 ай бұрын
Not sure why they needed to make an omega trigger variant of the P01 when the P07 exists. P07 was my first handgun and I gotta say, I wish I’d gone another way. Double action is pretty crap. SA is great but most are. Not an omega fan…

Toss in a $30 spring kit from Cajun Gun Works or MCarbo and it becomes a completely different gun. 5.5 pound DA and a 2.5 pound SA.
