Not my Nagato. I've done entire map clears with her as the flagship in my mob fleet and have had her not proc her barrage once. Her poor 40% barrage proc chance is why I don't use her with my Akagi/Kaga fleet, I use Amagi.

This is why HMS is titled "actor fleet" in Chinese, because their barrage proc is not base on % but based on how good they act during each runs.

I love Monarch so much, she's my second favourite girl after Belfy, but I have to say, I swear her 70% proc chance is bollocks. It feels so much more like a 50% chance, I once did a full clear of 11-4 with her, and in total she fired around 15 salvos, and her barrage procced once xD

Same goes for me with Hood. Sometimes I 100% 3 star clear a map till it’s safe (so you can see it’s a lot of battles) and she will literally proc +80% of the times. Others, especially when I actually need it the most, she procs less than 10% of the times. Yostar plez let Hood do her job lel.

I really love Monarch since she was a MAJOR player into chapter 10-12 worlds and especially against bosses, even though i like using her what-would've-been Prototype 381mm Main Gun for extra dmg and one more shell. Super versatile with her slow skill and love the combo with Georgia's Heavy Barrel Blaster (the grind for her Prototype Twin 457mm Main Gun is RNG hell)

I am still working on my PR1 ship HMS Neptune. I got my Monarch to dev level 30 and working on getting my St. Louis to dev level 30 as well.

With the current meta, I think I'd equip Monarch with the Twin_380mm_(SK_C/34), since it's shells are faster and more accurate (AP) and all end game content is Medium / Heavy which the 380mm has better damage with. It also fires faster, at 18.38s instead of 19.42s for the Twin 406mm (SK C/34 Prototype). It's also easier to obtain, so bonus! I'd also replace the radar with an auto-reloader (15.80 -> 14.93 reload @ 168 + 35) but that's mostly for bossing.

Interesting choices for weaponry, but good overall. I personally prefer the Proto Triple 410mm but the FDG Gun does good aswell.

Guys, you want to use Monarch to boss and to bossing it is better to use 406mk6 vs light and triple 410mm (triple 406 mle if you have) vs medium/heavy armor. You DONT want to use 406 skc and twin 410mm purple to boss because they are better suited to mob fleets due to a few seconds earlier of shooting.

I got Monarch in October of 2019 as my first PR ship. She's been very reliable and will always have a spot in my HMS fleet. To anyone who is questioning whether she's worth it or not just look at her Qipao skin. Also Saint Louis is a very strong PR ship as well, can we get her a skin pls?

Just about every battleship has the same gear set... actually, now that I think about it every ship type has a standard gear set that works best, with some minor variations.

You can always run the historical gun if you feel like it. Matching AA Guns and Torps are no Problem aswell, just have them matched with the right faction. The only ships on which that makes a huge difference are the British ones, due to that less effective 14" Quadruple Turrets of the KGV Class. And the Scharnhorsts, that aswell.

Not sure what you're asking. Clear Mode for non-event Hard maps just removes the escort fleet requirement, straight to boss. That's it.

I guess maxed out gear is super important for the low oil fleets, I can barely clear chapter 5 with terror + fletcher front line and you can clear chapter 7 on less dps fleet

Gear makes a huge difference. I'm in the same boat (heh) I've got my fleets leveled up, but my gear is still mostly purple/non-optimal so I struggle. Slowly getting there though! Hitting rank 70 really helps since I can now reliably get golden crates more easily through the daily missions.

That is because of gear scale harder, especially gun/torp/planes. They are used as a base in final dmg calculation formula, so each raw point gained in gear translate into greater dmg output.

Both are extremely good. Centaur is much easier to use effectively, just give her fast planes and she will perform amazing. Formidable is a bit harder since you want to try and time your BB main gun shots with her airstrike to maximize the effectiveness of her time stop. (and of course you would want her Purple Fairey Albacore, so if you don't have it, then go with Centaur)

You could, but the normal ammo type will drastically reduce main gun damage output. This is why HE guns like the Twin 410mm are much more preferred for Barrage-focused BB's, even if the reload is a bit slower for them.

The best part about the Combat Data Packs is that it's all up to you for whatever you want to do with them. Don't listen to anyone talking you down about converting them into prototype core for BP's. If you want to spend them on PR ship XP, then go ahead.

The thing is... grinding xp takes about a week or more, grinding the blueprints takes months. That is why people prefer those over the other. I personally used some to finish Roon so i can do Neptune now with the bonus XP (rather than keep her hanging one more week) so its all personal preference.
