I think the German fighter gold (Messerschmitt or something) has faster reload but ofc it offers absolutely no damage but higher AA. If you ever struggle to shoot planes down that is. And note: the boss has a set time before it makes itself invincible. I think it’s set to proc at 40 bars but that’s if you give it time to set up the invincibility thing. With Helena radar scan + Essex and Sara retro I was able to delete the HP bar before it could set up.

Perseus is outright OP. My vanguard could fight as if they were 15 levels higher. I also use the purple Japanese torpedo bomber with converging torpedoes to quickly kill the Siren miniboss.

I don't think reload is a big deal for Perseus. Most battles are over before before the 3rd air strike is ready.

Nice guide mate, I'm using Brewster F2A Buffalo for fighter as it had a reload of only 8 sec I think. Rest is the same as shown in the guide. Thanks for the guides.

I've been waiting for this one for a while! Also, The HT6 boss's adaptable armor skill isn't bar based but time based. If the timer on the right reaches 2:25 the skill automatically activates. With enough dps you can shred through the boss without the skill ever proccing. I used Nakaga with double Ryuuseis since the boss doesn't move for the most part and they shred through 80 bars in 3 seconds.

I’m using the Beaver Squad Tag along with a Steam Catapult on her. The reason is that she has both a very high EVA and LCK. Along with the Beaver Tag, this makes her incredibly tanky - even in PvP. (Take that, Warspite !) In PvE, it allows her to switch to the flagship slot if your usual flagship gets low on life so that she can recover for one or two battles. The other reason is that she’s in my mobbing fleet whenever it counts, so the SPD synergizes with the whole support/healer toolkit by giving vanguard ships more mobility and thus more opportunities to avoid damage. You’re losing a bit of damage compared to a more offensive alternative, but she hits hard - very hard - so it would usually be overkill anyway.

Besides, that was in defense so they had the 20% damage penalty ; in offense there is none, and it’s possible to retry for the procs/inital torpedo hits. I can only imagine how meta this composition would be if they weren’t event-restricted. (Fun fact : my Perseus reliably steals the MVP from Nagato and Warspite in PvP. Who said that healers couldn’t hit hard ?)

She makes for a very hot looking nurse, too. :) Running through 10-4 and now HT5/6 in the current event, Perseus has been a consistent MVP and helped the vanguard/Main Fleet stay healthy as they clear the mobs for the boss fleet. She constantly is dealing some sort of damage with Athena's catapult while her airstrikes are charging back up, and you have to love what she does for the fleet she's not in. How I wish I had time to farm for top gold equipment and +10 everything, but I work with what I have. Happy to have gotten her during Aurora Noctis. Love your guides, too!

If you are using Perseus on auto play I point out the Torpedo Squadron 8 (VT-8) torpedo bomber as an option. Many have this event plane and if any girl can make use of it, it is Perseus. Yes the first airstrike is not going to be very good, however every air strike after turns into the Torpedo Squadron 8 (VT-8) Avenger variant, which boasts the most damage per hit from torpedo bombers. A solid option if you do not have excess of top tier planes developed. Athena's Catapult is where the supplemental, steady damage is coming from. By in large..look for Perseus to do damage of what you may expect from a modest escort girl (not one of top tier damage dealers)

No messersmitt? Her damage is so low, that the faster reload it provides helps launch those heals. Also it does more air-to-air damage helping out in 12 and 13 more than her measly damage does.

I'm running Bluestacks on an old laptop, Intel i7-4510U CPU, had to lower the settings to 720p and 30fps. Can run well enough with the occasional stutter. Not too sure about safety but the experience has been pretty good so far

Shinano does have her variable slot one which let you customize her a bit. If you use the fighter standard then she'd gear like most any other carrier. Aside from deploying with Nagato, another solid main fleet girl to consider is Shouhou. Shouhou when retrofit boosts other carrier air power by 15% on airstrike along with her vanguard healing and she is also boasts one of the highest surface damage of the healing carriers as she uses dive and torpedo bombers...which will be boosted by both Nagato and Shinano

@@victortran2962 I do not think either of them are so rigid in deployment and Shouhou's can certainly be in a boss fleet. Centaur is often used in boss fleets and Shouhou damage is in the same range as hers. I just testing out a 120 Centaur and 120 Shouhou with similar gear a 108 Nagato as flag on the daily Escort raid. On the level 90 torpedo boats Shouhou got MVP at 209177 damage to Centaur's 199037. So yeah...I think Shouhou can be in the boss fleet if you want. Shouhou with Nagato and Shinano buffing her would be getting +35% Aviation...and if the air strikes are withing 8 seconds of Shouhou launching....Shinano will be enjoying a +35% Aviation as well..and healing your escort fleet too..how nice.

I was a bit skeptical about using Perseus on auto since she frontloads her entire kit. Let me say that she clearly shines in manual, when you can call her airstrikes when it matters most - and that allows her to carry most battles. Now on auto… It’s fair to assume that she’s not that good since she frontloads her entire kit. But actually ? It’s not quite right. Her two initial airstrikes will annihilate the first and sometimes even the second wave of most battles (or at least damage it heavily at 0/5 ammo). Her next airstrike will come around 45 seconds later which is usually the last wave of a triforce fleet, or never in other cases. But before that, she’ll send a few damage planes every 12 seconds. It might not sound like much, but her high LCK along with her quite respectable AVI allows her to offer a great DPS support through that. As far as survival is concerned, Perseus has a massive 71 EVA, 82 LCK and almost 6000 HP. This allows her to survive a LOT of punishment, including BB volleys that will simply miss her most of the time, including in PvP. And that’s not even including her healing toolkit ! (Unicorn is not *too* far behind, but Perseus is still better at the end of the day.) Speaking of which… Well, Unicorn or Shouhou simply can’t compare in any possible way. She will ALWAYS heal the vanguard for at least 14% HP and the backline for 7%. Plus 1% every 10 seconds and another 7/3,5% after 45 sec. In the meantime, Unicorn would only proc twice for 16%, and that’s ONLY if the fight lasts long enough and that’s only the vanguard - Perseus brings much more to the table by the sole fact that she can heal the backline. Unicorn does, however, have that passive vanguard RLD buff and better efficiencies on her Fighters and Torpedoes but… Can’t say it’s worth it when Perseus gets one more airstrike than her whenever it counts.

Overall, Perseus is the best. The fact that you can get a massive heal at the start of every battle is just too good. Ryuuhou and Aquila are both very good still though, and if you use them in Chapter 13 then you'll find that they make it a lot easier.

The problem with Perseus is her very first heal on a map is basically non-existent, since all the ships are at full HP. Basically, from the 2nd battle onwards, your fleet is a deficit unless you face some super easy enemies first that barely damages your fleet.

Perseus has 2 airstrikes, each healing 7% of the vanguard's HP. Chapayev healed for 350 HP per airstrike, with her total health being around 5000 HP. Airstrike 1 - 7% (350 HP) Airstrike 2 - 7% (350 HP) Total - 14% of her max HP (700 HP) From what you're saying, 1.07(1.07[5000]), Chapayev is healing for 5,595 HP?
