​@KororaPenguin that's right. I mean, El Hombre Siniestro was considered the prototype for the spies, apparently. He had the long pointy nose (thanks to Prohias' habit of exaggerating the length of a person's nose), a wide brim hat, and wore a longcoat similar to that of the spies. Instead of targeting a set rival, the dude played rather sadistic, callous pranks on literally anybody who crossed his path by pretending to help them out before doing them in.

That's right, and that winner is the comic's true antagonist, Gray Spy, who always won every single strip of Spy vs. Spy vs. Spy. Despite that she was supposed to represent neutrality, Gray Spy was truly the antagonist. I may not be too fond of her, but I'd rather stay true to the comics. Her showing up ruins the lack of the good vs. evil dynamic because the strips were not intended to have the good vs. evil dynamic at all. Therefore, I'd rather she not show up at all. So yeah, I'm glad Prohias phased her out of the comics after three years due to being too predictable.

@Mister_Oddity I know, right? Nothing against Peter Kuper; I'm sure he's a nice guy, but the comics from his era were very disturbing and violent. Not to mention getting more disturbing as time went on when he took over. Not gonna lie, the comics from Kuper's era give off quite a few "Ren and Stimpy: Adult Party Cartoon" vibes, personally. Then again, there were some select comics from Prohias' era that were disturbing, but still nowhere near as disturbing as Kuper's.

What I never liked is how the female spy always gets them, but they never get her.

Who, Gray Spy? Yeah, I may not be too fond of her at all because of that, but I'd still rather stay true to her intended immunity to slapstick, just as Prohias had intended, considering that he wanted to be respectful to women. However, even he found her appearances too predictable, so he slowly phased her out of the comics. Honestly, I'm glad he did. Future writers and illustrators, especially Peter Kuper, brought her back after Prohias retired in the late-80s. Apparently, I have a theory why Gray Spy always wins: besides Prohias wanting to be respectful to women, Gray Spy is deliberately more intelligent than both of the male spies, Black and White, possibly to the extent to where she is ALWAYS AT LEAST one step ahead of them. So even if Black and White teamed up for once to stop her, they will still fail, regardless. Despite being intended to represent neutrality, Gray Spy is basically the invincible antagonist. Either way, I think Gray Spy always gaining the upper hand over both Black Spy and White Spy should be used as a message that women abusing, harassing, torturing, generally harming, and/or taking advantage of men needs to be taken just as seriously as the other way around, like I have mentioned numerous times.

Maybe he could be; maybe not. I dunno. Then again, I've heard through the grapevine that there's an unfinished paperback strip Prohias made where it is shown that White's daughter and Black's son have a crush on each other a la Romeo and Juliet, much to their fathers' obviously strong disapproval. Although at the end of that particular comic, Black and White apparently become the straw losers to their own children. I will admit that it's kind of a shame that neither Black's son nor White's daughter never made it into any of the paperbacks nor any of the comics at all (at least in person in the former's case; the latter never made it into any of the comics at all).
