737 pilot here. That was an excellent explanation. Thanks!

From a maintenance point of view I dislike how the valves are not called by their correct name. Bleed valve - is the PRSOV (pressure regulator and shut off valve) Fan air valve - is the PCCV (pre cooler control valve) On initial engine start, the 9th stage will supply the air pressure to open the PRSOV

With all due respect, pilots just need to tell maintenance personnel whether the bleed trip reset or not. It’s up to the maintenance personnel to do the troubleshooting and then replace the appropriate component
@JuanDominguez-xd7ev Жыл бұрын
True, but it will be good if the Pilots know, what He is actually doing when he is following the QRH procedures.

Thanks for great explanation. When the bleed trip off illuminates on the ground, how do you determine which MEL to refer to? 36-5, 36-8 or 36-9?

If the engine bleed valve is closed, pressure continues to build up to the bleed valve --- so is there is a pressure relief valve somewhere?

This is a good rule, But sometimes you can get a bleed pressure spike that trips the sensor and then goes away. Thats more indiciative of a larger engine problem though

Hi, one quick question: in the NG qrh does not state how long you have to wait before attempting a reset. It directs you to select the wing anti ice off to reduce the load preventing the 9th stage valve from opening and thus the condition to exacerbate and to reset it and eventually if conditions allow, to reduce thrust in the attempt to decrease the supply of air. How long should i wait prior to pushing the RESET? Many thanks
@sevenrickseven54585 жыл бұрын
The NG QRH doesn't specify a waiting period, so my guess is that the sensors on the NG are improved and therefore requires no time limit before reset.
@jcdominguez20755 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your support, to answer your question, Boeing said that you should wait approximately 5 minutes.

@AlexKoltsov4 жыл бұрын
No, no ))You think It is easy. But no. Posiible trouble cause: bleed air regulator, pressure regulator shut off vlv, hight stage valve, sensiting lines, pre-cooler, hight stage regulator, pre-cooler cntr vlv, sensor, switch and mode of engine operating and ext.
@jcdominguez20754 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your answer, and I know is not easy, but the only thing we want to know on this video is if the problem is Temperature or Pressure, once you figure this out, then you start looking for the right component to change.
@Troffigus2 жыл бұрын
@@jcdominguez2075 why, as pilots, are we looking for the right component to change? The simple in-flight fix is to reduce duct pressure by selecting CLB-2 and/ or using engine, and/or anti ice.
@NicholasRiviera-Dr Жыл бұрын
@@jcdominguez2075pilots don’t change components. The most useful thing they can do in this situation is tell the maintenance guy if the trip reset or not
@JuanDominguez-xd7ev Жыл бұрын
True Nicolas, sorry, I am not saying that Pilots change components, but it will be good if we can help the Maintenance guys with good information. @@NicholasRiviera-Dr

@@NicholasRiviera-Dr Thank you, Nicolas, I know Pilots, will not change components, this is more for the Maintenance guys, but at least, the pilot can tell the Mechanics if the problem is pressure or temperature, if we actually understand what we are doing, not just following a procedure, what do you think?
