Baby deer plays with our crazy cat

blog.austinweir... This baby deer followed our cat out of the woods a few days ago. We were very careful to never touch the deer and, after we made the video, led the baby back into the woods, where it laid down, and we left it there. We checked on it an hour later and it was gone so, we assume, the mother found it, and everyone lived happily ever after.

Touching a fawn will not hurt it or cause it to be abandoned by its mother. That's an old wives tale. If the mother smells a human or other foreign scent on her fawn, she will simply relocate it because she correctly assumes its hiding place has been discovered.

This baby deer was created after a buck had sex with a female deer, not by God... Unless you consider two deer having sex as "God", but that's just weird.

My girl friend Megan has a little girl named Kymberlee. Kymberlee and her Grandpa found a baby deer. The mother was dead. The veterinarian came. Something had been chasing the mother. But when the mother jumped over a fallen tree and broke her front leg what ever was chasing her lost interest. The mother died of fright. When the muscles relaxed the little baby fawn was born. Kymberlee kept the baby and named her Phoebe. She still has the baby fawn. Phoebe loves corn, celery apples,and watermelon, her favorite fruit is strawberries. Phoebe comes and goes as she pleases.

It may sound odd comig from a deer hunter, but I hope that deer found its mother, and stayed safe. It isnt good to keep them as pets, they will grow and that isnt good. Let the little deer grow up and live where its suppost to.

That fawn is adorable. I hate to think what my favorite cat would have done. I always cheered for the rabbits but that cat almost never missed.

Janadu Actually it can be tamed, just like any animal. It's much better than hunting and killing it.
