Hi @balavarshini rajasekar so glad to hear you have found the videos helpful. Also great that you want to start reading to your little one. Hard board books at this age are great (they will rip paper books). I found the touch and feel books great - so they are board books with different tactile material on each page. So something like this www.amazon.com.au/Never-Touch-a-Porcupine/dp/1789471451/ref=asc_df_1789471451/?tag=googleshopmob-22&linkCode=df0&hvadid=401284949039&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17121483311620831979&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9071974&hvtargid=pla-898214948768&psc=1

Emma do some babies skip crawling? My 8 month old baby girl refuses to do it... should I be concerned? It’s unrelated, but 2 days ago she clapped twice for the first time, I was so happy!! Would love a specific video on teething, what works and so on. Thanks again love your channel

I'm part of a Facebook group of moms in Rexburg, ID, and this question came up recently! There were moms whose first baby didn't start crawling until 10 months, and their second started at six or seven. The developmental milestones have a pretty wide margin for normal. ❤ my little dude is six months and seems totally uninterested in crawling but loves to stand. Lots of tummy time is our goal.
@EmmaHubbard
@EmmaHubbard 3 жыл бұрын
Hi @Pri USA so nice to hear from you again. Wow she is 8 months already. Sarah is correct that babies can typically learn to crawl anywhere from 6 - 10 months of age. So Your little one still has plenty of time to learn this skill. I would say that she is still building up her arm strength to hold herself in 4 point kneeling. So tummy time continues to be important. Also keep remembering to put her onto and off the floor through side lying (demonstrated in my video stuck in sitting). These will all help her gain the skill and strength required to crawl. Also super exciting that she clapped her hands!

Thank you! My boy is nearly 10 weeks and he has just started drooling a little so this is helpful for me to know it's all perfectly normal! Im too scared to put a bib on him yet, im paranoid over any potential strangulation or suffocation risks whatsoever!! So i just use the bib to wipe it away whenever i spot some on him. He's breastfed and doesnt use a dummy so the drooling isnt too bad (yet 🤣!)

My little dude is just six months, but he's been drooling like crazy since around 2 months. My mom and MIL told me it was from teething, but I can't imagine it's taking him so long to start getting teeth in. 😅 This makes a lot more sense to me. I do wonder, what signs should I look out for when he's actually cutting a tooth? He's been chewing on his hands from birth (swaddled him but he always had to have his hands free), he has days where the only thing to sooth him is to gum on a toy, he drools prolifically, but I haven't felt or seen any white nubs in the front.

Hi @Sarah Sakal I am glad this video has helped. Typically babies get their first teeth anywhere from 6-12 months. Some babies can get their first teeth at 3 months but this is very early. Usually the first teeth are the bottom centre teeth. Each baby is different and signs that they are teething are different. I found with my kids preferred puréed food when they were teething and sleep was a bit more disruptive during the night.
