Jami, if you want to blanket YOUR horses then that is what you should do. The operative word being "Your." You have gracefully and lovingly taken on a larger portion of the horse care and they are your babies. We love them and you love them.

It is shocking to me that anyone could criticize this woman after seeing how much love is being given to these horses. It was very sweet seeing Storm giving hugs & getting reassurance that she needed because of the scary blanket. Also what was the grunting sound in the barn when the gate was being closed? It sounded kinda like a 🐷

I love your patience, kindness, and high level of concern to being aware of the horses reaction. I just love horses, I'm so jealous. Fun fact, the Budwiezer Clydesdales are in Bakersfield for Parade. In the article they featured one of them. He is Old Red the biggest one of them at 18.3 and 2100 lbs. He eats the highest quality of hay and some grain they mentioned as being a Purina brand. Thought this was interesting. He's one of 11 here. Very exciting though there here at the Sept fair. So beautiful to see in person. And love you put Dixies blanket on one of them, honoring her and she would be proud to have passed it on. Blessings to you, kisses for the horses.

I live in Alabama and I usually only blanket in temps in the teens or raining and in lower temps , the reason I don't unless it's in the teens or raining is because they may get sweaty and then get cold , if they're dry they typically stay warmer then blanketing, but by all means follow your vets advice 😊
