Hi! Do you have recommended baby monitors that has a parent unit (viewing without wifi) and can also view using your phone/tablet (wifi functionality)? Thank you!

Great video. I’m going to take my chance with the Miku Pro, no wearables is a huge plus, hopefully their improvements to the app: connectivity, and sleep analytics will mean I’ll be happy.

Are there any monitors that have delayed notification? Our baby will cry in the middle of the night for several minutes and then go back to sleep, he usually sleeps through the night and very rarely fully gets up from the short cries.

Not a single KZbin video comparing the eufy and vava baby monitor! These are top two suggested by several moms. Would love to see a review on vava and/or comparison to eufy!!!

You’re in luck. I’ll be uploading a review of the Vava on Sunday. There’s also some comparisons to the Eufy as well.

How does the nanit and mike fair with the snoo, the movement and white noise created by the snoo?
@Fathercraft3 жыл бұрын
Breathing monitoring won’t work and the sleep analytics will be wonky. However, the Nanit Insights doesn’t start tracking sleep data until for months anyway. Long story short you’re not going to see a lot of benefit from these monitors until your baby is in a crib.

Hi there - currently have a Motorola halo in our son’s room which is both connected and wifi and we love it. We will need a second monitor for our daughter’s room but would love something that’s compatible with the halo and give us the option to view both rooms - preferably on one parent unit (but doesn’t have to be) and through the app (the halo uses Hubble connected). What do you suggest?

Great video John, love the videos. Watching your videos have made really want to get a smart monitor for our baby. Really need help on one question and its whether monitors like the Nanit or Miku work outside North America. I have tried to contact the manufacturers, but couldn't get a proper answer. Just wondering if you have ever been contacted by other parents using the monitors outside of the US and if they had mentioned any issues? Many thanks in advance.

It’s hard to test and review without a baby. So trying to figure out how to overcome that hurdle outside of adding another baby to my family.

So what are your thoughts on cubo AI camera In comparison to Nanit or Miku?
@Fathercraft3 жыл бұрын
It’s getting harder to chose between the three. I’d go with Miku because the of the awesomeness of the breathing monitoring feature.

@fathercraft will the new Miku analytics be rolled out on the original Miku?

Would like to see a review on the Miku App once it gets updated. Hear it is happening this week. Disappointed though that the floor stand is out of stock and when I reached out they said they will not be restocking it.
@Fathercraft3 жыл бұрын
I’ve been testing the beta app this week and the full launch is supposed to happen tomorrow. That’s strange on the floor stand. Maybe they meant the v1 floor stand won’t be restocked?

Hi gentleman, some thing that I miss in all WiFi monitor reviews. How portable are they? If you visit, family, friends or hotels; is it easy/possible to set it up? Is there a temporary solution when u set it up like a WiFi direct connection?
@dcc843 жыл бұрын
^ this. In addition, how does the built-in miku stand compare with nanit multi-stand? Does one allow greater range of viewing options? Any other noticeable takeaways between the using those two NOT in their primary locale?
@Fathercraft3 жыл бұрын
I’d say they are more portable than traditional monitors because you’re only dealing with one cord. Traditional monitors are much easier to set up because you’re not dealing with connecting to new wifi networks. Just plug them in (generally) and they are ready to go.
@Fathercraft3 жыл бұрын
I like the Miku built-in stand much better. It’s on a ball joint and can be moved into more positions.

Do both the Nanit and Miku Pro options have visible red lights at night that may bother a tired baby or are they closer to the Cubo Ai Plus in that department?
@Fathercraft3 жыл бұрын
Nanit Pro is quite prominent. Miku is much less visible.

Great to see you having a chat! I would buy a Miko or a Nanit, but it seems like Cubo AI has a better customer support in Australia.

I’m leaning toward cubo as well main since the nanit has those red leds that could be distracting. I guess we will see how it goes. Congrats by the way we are due in November

Hi Andrew, do you still prefer Infant Optics DX-R 8 PRO over Eufy spaceview baby Monitor? Also will you be doing a review on the Miku Pro?
@Fathercraft3 жыл бұрын
Not sure he’s going to see this but I can take a stab at it. Eufy spaceview definitely over Infant Optics. Plus my review of the Miku Pro should be the only one you need 😉.
@clarissarguzman3 жыл бұрын
@@Fathercraft lol, understood. I remember Andrew liking the PRO model from infant Optics over the spaceview. Was wondering if that option still stood considering it's been a few months. I appreciate the reply and yes, your option is the only one that matters!

Hey guys, greedy question here…I want a monitor device that´s both the option of wi’fi and connected device, can support at least 2 cameras in the house, shows room temp and has some breathing monitor capability ? Too much to ask? :) which one do you guys recommend
@Fathercraft3 жыл бұрын
Haha - that’s like the white whale of baby monitors. I think you need to prioritize which feature is most important and go with the option that has that feature. For breathing monitoring, I’d go with Miku. For two cameras, Lollipop for the multi streaming. Non connected, Eufy of Summer Infant.

I’m taking a leap with Miku Pro as I don’t want another subscription plan or wearables. I really wish Miku would setup zone detection but rope and duct tape works too. (Totally jk). Great review
@Fathercraft3 жыл бұрын
Hahaha - that’s excellent. Fortunately, I think those kind of detection features can be done with an app update.

This is no shade to the KZbinr who created this video. Perhaps when the Eufy monitor was first made and released to the creators they worked perfectly fine but they don’t now. Like you, I came here to watch a video and determine if the Eufy monitor was the right fit for me. It wasn’t and if you continue reading you’ll find out why. I wanted to love this monitor. I thought I’d found THE ONE. If you are in the market for a monitor sadly this isn’t the one for you. Trust me. I am so completely disappointed in this product and company for continuing to sell an item this faulty. I wanted to love this monitor so much that I really tested my patience here and went through 4 different Eufy monitors. No joke. Four. In a matter of 2 months. My favorite feature about this monitor was the VOX feature. I have found that not a lot of monitors in the market have this feature. As a light sleeper the monitor goes idle, no background noise, and with VOX an alarm goes off as soon as my baby started making noises. As a parent of a newborn I got great sleep because of this feature. The first one worked wonderfully in the beginning but then the alarm started going off ALL the time even when baby was sleeping. It seemed to go off at any noise like his sound machine, bass from our tv in another room, lawn mower.. everything. That’s when I exchanged for a new one. The next 3 wouldn’t hold a charge at all. I’d plug them in and the battery would never get full again. Even while plugged the monitor would no longer stay on. At the third monitor I called Eufy and told them the situation. They quickly replaced it and that’s how I got to try a fourth monitor. Their customer service was great, responsive, & understanding but even the replacement didn’t work. Eufy, I’m not sure why you continue to offer this product. You should really consider pulling it from all retail stores because it’s clear something went wrong at manufacturing this product. No parent of a newborn should have to deal with a defective product like this. Not only are we sleep deprived but we don’t have time to go back and forth with a product that is known to not work properly. Please consider discontinuing the sales of this item & working on a new manufacturing of the battery on your monitors because the ones on shelves are duds. All of them. Steer clear of this item. Don’t consider it unless you want a headache and to spend what little free time you do have returning or exchanging this monitor.

Am I the only one that feels like these breathing monitors are too much? It just feels like it will add to the anxiety of having a new baby. Plus Dr really don't recommend them because they aren't proven to accurate. I'm even on the fence about a video monitor. When I had my first 10 years ago they were super expensive & we just went with an audio monitor & it was fine.
