Looking back at Gimli at this stage gives me goose bumps! The care you all gave enabled that poor little soul to heal, gain confidence and start to show great interest in other monkeys, his environment and his food! Nowadays he is unrecognisable, happily living in James troop. Like Floki he is such a brave and yet trusting monkey. His face in this video is just so appealing!

I am spending the weekend with family and my niece saw me watching one of your videos. She fell in love with the monkeys, much like I did. She watched many yesterday and made me promise to give her my phone after lunch, I am sure she will probably get every video watched at least once. I thank you for putting out great content that is fun encourages animal conservation and I am equally glad that the views assist your organisation. She grumbled at first when I told her she had to watch the ads, but when I explained that it helped the monkeys, she stopped grumbling and promised to watch every one. Gimli got me! Happy to support your staff and these little guys as you all soldier on to meet life's challenges. You mentioned the insect on the electric fence... it's a shame some sort of electrified mist net couldn't be utilized to curb the locust problem raging in Kenya especially if the resulting fried flyers could be used as feed for some bird or animal.

Its something special we use in winter time as food is scares or for special diets in summer, a bag can generally be used around the whole foundation for 2 runs

Hello Vervet Forest caretakers I absolutely love what you. From intake to veterinarians and to everyone who helps. Beautiful family u have there. U do so much good. But I do have a question. Ur talking about the high cost of Lentils (that's just one of the examples I'm sure) . Just a quick question. Why aren't these monkeys being taught to forage in instead of feeding all of the outside troupes? U could cut down cost of feeding so u can increase building, fuel etc. The adoptive mother doesn't stay with that baby. I'm sure that some of donated money could be used for a neutering and spayed program. Could surely help. I'm just saying it seems that the different countries (including ur area) are all treating these animals as pets. I haven't seen a situation where any of these primates are foraging anymore. As sad as it sounds. I'm still grateful for everything yall do and I have no malice in my question. Hello from Texas. ❤

they are taught to forage and natural forage is collected for them, Im not sure if you realise this is a sanctuary situation even though it may not look like it the monkeys are in big electrified natural areas, which would not have the required natural forage to keep them alive, yes the money is also used for veterinary fees and all males are vasectomised, we are a non breeding facility, im not sure if you have seen more than one video but they defiantly forage and under no circumstances are they ever treated like pets, also remember a video is a few minutes out of days of actual life - maybe volunteer to get a better understanding

People that have monkeys for pets have no clue what they are getting thereselves in cause if you don't show discipline from the start the monkey when he gets older will beat the shit out of you and destroy everything you got like those people from Alabama that have a vervet monkey for a pet they got there hands full when he gets about 8 months old
