Thank you for all this fantastic closeup footage! It’s amazing to see all the details in their little faces and their big, beautiful eyes ❤ Love all the eating and drinking too - it’s so adorable, and comforting to see/hear them getting all the nourishment they need ❤ Thank you so much for the longer video - I know there were hardships with the tech so it’s especially appreciated (still working on finding some iPads or tablets for you)! You are ALL wonderful, VMF!!! Bless you all ❤

I will give you a run down of how they take them in and find a mom/troop. They come in and get a medical check and quarantine. they learn how to use the feeding cage (it has a small baby size hole the older kids can't use) and get treatment if necessary. If they have treatable mental/medical disabilities or lost eyes/blind they go to a enclosure that is it's own troop for special care and safety. If they can go to the troops they are taken to the introduction cage (it has that green door). they meet the moms. they leave the enclosure when the foundation knows they can get food from the feeding cage in the outside sanctuary. As soon as they learn to feed themselves they leave the babyland cages. They want to get them out as soon as possible so the mothers have the most time with them to teach and learn. Older rescues have a difficult time if the person who found them keep them in a home, holding them, and feeding them food that causes malnutrition and permanent damage(in some cases). We see them only briefly if they are healthy and strong since they go to a foster mom as soon as possible. The foster moms meet them first outside looking in, and eventually come into the intro cage to get comfortable. When every one seems comfortable and the monkeys have decided who goes with who they let the moms take them out in to the sanctuary. HOPE THAT HELPS :D

It does seem a slow start. But as Dave mentioned, people keeping them for kids off school and Christmas will very soon be calling when they realize monkeys, or any wild animals really, are not suitable to keep as pets and that they are out of their depth. There will be plenty come the first of the year, with all sorts of lies and bogus stories to accompany the little ones. Thankfully, they will eventually find their way to the foundation. At least the fortunate ones will

Where are the mother monkeys. Instead of humans
@Anashcog2610 күн бұрын
@@ReneeCecchett-yv8fw It is a long process, they have to teach them to use the feeding cage well, then gradually meet the moms in a troop. They have to go slow so that the moms and the troops will accept them. They do amazing work at the VMF. Look at some of their past seasons. Take care 🐵.
