Gosh, little Mitch is huge now! Great filming this week. Watching the food go over the fence in Slo mo was good. That really is a skill, and with the height of that fence I reckon Godfrey must be very strong to be able to lob that heavy load right over the top. I'd never really noticed before your really sensible policy of using only natural things from the enclosure as enrichment. It makes perfect sense but I'd never thought about it until you mentioned it. Good luck little Helen and 🤞 Felix bonds with a Mum soon. He and Helen were very comical playing together before she was released! Thanks everybody.

They give all the boys a vasectomy once they hit 2-3 years so that no offspring are born. It's a safety measure so that there's a humane way to control their population and so the babies aren't negatively affected.

Is there ever an issue if a baby whose mother was an alpha getting matched with a mom who has a low rank in the hierarchy? At what point does the family ranking become ingrained in the little ones?
