Body language expert Adrianne Carter dissects and analyses the body language of Fiona Harvey, reportedly the real life 'Martha' from hit Netflix TV series, during her interview with Piers Morgan.
Adrianne identifies mouth sloshing and water sipping as signs of comfort and stress, along with a tongue gesture which may indicate she was being somewhat untruthful with denials about not sending Richard Gadd 41,000 emails.
Fiona Harvey has identified herself as the woman who inspired Martha in the drama and has denied stalking Gadd, describing the show’s depiction of her as “defamatory”.
It's also been claimed that Fiona Harvey sent Labour leader Keir Starmer a staggering 276 messages in less than eight months, including vicious attacks on him and his family.
This all comes as an MP has asked Netflix to provide evidence that the woman who inspired the character Martha Scott in Baby Reindeer is a “convicted stalker”.

She contradicted herself every time she spoke. She didn't think she sent him anything. Later - She sent him a handwritten letter. How many of those have you sent your entire life? How many have you sent to people you "didn't even know" about deeply personal subjects? She says she has a photographic memory. Later - she doesn't remember her law school transcripts. She can't remember her email addresses. She says she never fancied him. On Twitter - she sent him a public direct message about how badly her curtains needed hanging. She says the character cannot be based on her. Later - it's defamatory because it's obviously about me.

I didn't know the guy But we had inside jokes together Maybe met him once or twice. Didn't know his address. I don't think I ever sent the guy anything. But I sent him a handwritten letter about a very personal trauma I have a photographic memory But I can't remember my law school grades. Or how many emails I've sent Or the contents of a very personal handwritten letter I sent to somebody I didn't know He seems obsessed with me doesn't he? I asked him on Twitter to hang my curtains But I turned him down when he asked me to hang my curtains Because I had a boyfriend And didn't fancy him. That's why I asked him to hang my curtains on Twitter. So you can see my story is very believable and consistent.

She never had a law degree The lady that employed her did some digging into her “degree” and when they found out she was lying and didn’t have a degree she was sacked for gross misconduct. It is an actual criminal offence to lie on a CV/ application form To gain employments it’s under the 2006 fraud act. I think the agreement was made to terminate her contract and an agreement was made between them not to take any further action. I believe she then became abusive towards the lady and gentleman at the law firm and the lady Mary threats to take civil action against her. She then climbed back under the rock. A vile woman, she hasn’t got a photographic memory, she has no idea about being a brief, she certainly didn’t study at Aberdeen these are my conclusions Sent from my iPohne

@@Kittenwhisperer24 Nice post! :) I want to agree with you more emphatically about something, and let you know something that you may not already know: "she hasn’t got a photographic memory," This! In fact, nobody in history has been demonstrated to have one. Essentially, if someone claims to have a photographic memory, it's almost a diagnosis of narcissistic personality disorder. And I'm not being flippant. Think about the kind of person who would go around their entire life claiming to have this fantastic ability they do not have. If someone makes this claim, there really are only three choices: 1. They don't understand what the term eidetic, or photographic memory means 2. They are living a lie. 3. They are the first person in history to have this ability and should rush to the nearest science lab to prove it. In any of these cases, you should probably just smile and back away slowly! :)

I feel for Richard and Fiona, both have obviously been through some kind of sh1t. The public generally seem to feel mostly sorry for him. If Fiona made a film about her perspective i wonder if people would feel differently. He led her on by his own admission, she may well have thought they were having some kind of relationship and felt overwhelming sadness when he stopped contact. Gadd may not have been aware but his on/off behaviours can cause trauma bonding and make her try to hold onto him more. Its difficult to explain, i had a relationship with a narcissist and ive never had feelings like it. It felt dangerous and thrilling but very scary at the same time. I had to get out as it started feeling unnatural, a weird kind of love, i knew he didn't truly love me. Took me a long time to get over that, like a detoxification of mind and body. If i think about it long enough it can still F with my head thats why i keep it mainly locked away in a box in my brain. None of us know the ins and outs of their relationship so i don't think its fair to judge her badly based on the series on netflix or her body language cos I'm awkward when speaking to people and I'd hate to be analised in this way, they could find something negative to say about us all I'm sure.

This post hits the nail right on the head. She obviously felt, and probably still does, an overwhelming sense of sadness at being rejected by Gadd, and her constant attempts to rekindle their attachment, albeit one that existed only in her mind, became more and more desperate and pitiable. If only she could admit this to herself instead of aggressively denying it, she could start the healing process, both hers and Gadd's. It's all pretty sad really.

She should have said she did wrong and so isn't surprised that Gadd remembers it the way he has. Then asked to be left alone. If she did send him that number of emails i believe shes either denying it because shes embaressed or she nervous that it could be seen as harassment in law and doesn't want to get into any trouble. Sending that amount of ocmmunication to someone and obsessing over them is a sign of needing some form of therapy about boundaries and emotional regulation. Like group dbt. Where there are group rules to practice enforcing and you are taught coping skills over a period of time that you practice in your own life and report back on in the group. That would be good for her if this is all true. I actually feel bad for her to be honest. He egged on her in many ways. And made a fool out of her. She needed professional help not fake friendship from a barman with no boundaries himself. He used her to make himself feel better than reported her when it all got too much. Thats not great of him to do. Clearly a vulnerable person that he took advantage of. Direct these people to real professional services don't mess with them. Its cruel and damaging for all involved.

An accepted drama CONVENTION is to add 'True story' at the beginning of a show. Netflix is covered because they have a disclaimer at the end - 'Based on a true story'. Note: FARGO, 1996 movie by the Coen brothers. In the first frames - “This is a true story..." The movie is not true! The Coen brothers have stated in many interviews they wanted to set a specific tone. However the wood chipper scene was a true event.

like what the other person said, it's not a documentary. of course some parts of dramatized. if anything it is very believable; there is no perfect victim. he handled some things in a confusing way, but he's still a victim
