I really appreciate how Moe teach and not to spoil Sutan everytime she's crying for what she wants. I'm a teacher and i can see how some of my students don't have patience and have different attitude than the others just because their parents spoil them. Thank you, wish your family always be healthy
@Nyuffykah4 жыл бұрын
I think its about parents not giving their time to the kids at all. Always unpatient with them so the child becomes unpatient. Not spending with them quality time, not prioritizing them. Spoiling someone with materials is not the real caring and children know that.
@raisachoudhury40714 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's really cool how Moe is able to explain there isn't anymore and crying won't bring any more oranges either. It's heartbreaking to see, but it's necessary in order for children to grow into proper adults.
@Emilia4974 жыл бұрын
Spoiling, sure...but bad/unpatient behavior also comes from the parents not giving their kids enough positive attention. The only attention the kids get is from behaving badly, and their parents react by correcting them. If the kids notice that this is the only way they'll receive attention = they will behave badly more often. Everybody needs attention.

Ugh same. My cousin who is around sutans age came to stay a few days and she tore the house apart. My Aunt just LET her do it. She never said no she never told her not to do anything because once she did something if you took it away she would cry. Okay??? You have to teach her it isn't okay to just smash her food into the floor. Kids make messes yes, but we can teach them to clean up after themselves.

I love how she clearly stated why she could not play with Sutan,or why she took away extra food from Sutan. That helps the child understand that every action has a reason and why the parent is doing it. I remember my mom telling me how she never used to "baby talk" us, how she talked with us like we were individuals with comprehensible brains and that stopped us from throwing unnecessary tantrums.

Well said. My parents, especially Mom and Grandmom were very careful about this as well. I once plucked a plant leaf, inspite of being asked not to repeatedly...so Mom plucked a small strand of my hair...and when I cried, she told me that just like it hurt me, it hurt the plant too. That was it...never again did I attempt that particular antic. Babies are much smarter than we give them credit for, and understand and comprehend well...

Every time I see your videos I'm amazed at your parenting skills Moe. How independent Sutan is at just a year and a half old. How you use full sentences and don't baby talk (given, I don't speak Japanese, so maybe you are. But it feels like you speak to her mostly the same as you would an adult). How well she understands patience and sometimes she needs to entertain herself so you can get a bit of time for yourself or to finish something. How well and easily you can redirect her when it comes to being patient and other things. I don't have kids myself but it's such a stark contrast to how I see American parents raising their kids. I feel like what you're doing is probably way more effective. Also, Sutan with Moto is the cutest thing. She's such a Daddy's girl and it's sweet to watch.

Speaking fully to children really does help and they understand way more than we realize even before they can speak back properly. When my nephew was about Sutans age we were walking in a parking lot and he was dragging his feet on the ground...I said, "Hey kid...pick your feet up!". I didnt expect him to really understand any of what I said or even respond but he stopped and looked at me weird...then bent over and grabbed his shoes with his hands and tried to literally pick his feet up while still standing...it was hilarious but I was also shocked that despite missing the point he clearly understood exactly what I said.
