Baby Seal's Head Stuck In Filter

As Naude explained, this industrial filter could’ve been from a vacuum cleaner bag or, most likely, suits worn when spray painting. Due to somebody’s negligence, these filters end up in the ocean, and who knows how many animals have fallen victim to it and how many more filters are still floating around. Without monitoring, regular inspection, and hefty fines, ocean littering will not change. 🦭

Not sure they need to be that hands on. Better watching from more distance. Learn to love? You love or not. It’s not something that has to be learned. 30 seconds for the kid to do the cutting. Adult would had that done in 5 seconds reducing the seals stress.

Everything in this video is beautiful - the sea, the views and a huge herd of seals. Beautiful children and rescuers. The seal rescue is also wonderful. Pup wasn't just feisty, he had other pups running interference. It looked like one pup ran OVER the handle of the net, knocking it from position to net the little guy. It was a coordinated seal pup maneuver designed to stop the team from netting anyone. LOL But you must net if you are to save.

that piece of material seemed to be restricting the seals breathing, but once it was cut away the seal could breathe freely and run to the water with plenty of energy. great rescue, and i can see future official members of OCN helping in many more rescues, and learning alot as time progresses👍👍

Lovely to see Dad and Uncles teaching the young ones . Past generations caused this mess unfortunately mammoth task for future generations to try and fix. This is where it starts . My handbag was the ‘available ‘ rubbish bin for my kids when we were out, in car etc . My grandkids are now doing the same with their mum and me. A handbag full of wrappers and icy pole sticks etc is small price to pay .
