I live in Arizona, near the Indian reservation. I recognized the area in this video immediately. Last year I didn't see any wild horses, but in January of 2019 I stumbled upon a herd of wild horses in the reservation. I'm so touched they were able to save Mila.

I envy you being able to encounter (and pet?) wild horses. I live back east in New England, so no wild horse populations here. Don't get me wrong, PLENTY of beautiful animals, whale-watching on the ocean, etc., but to be able to just have a bunch of wild horses come up to meet with a human and enjoy an interlude would have to be one of the highlights of one's life, IMO.

Mike S It’s such a surreal feeling. Horses are such lovely animals. It’s definitely one of my highlights like you stated! I’m now living in LA so the wildlife I’ve seen includes squirrels and raccoons LOL. I’ve never seen whales before, but the experience sounds majestic!

Ahhh yes, lately I've been dealing with a persistently BIG male (which are in the bear family, so they can cop an attitude when large enough), trying to get into the trash barrels. Yes, seeing a whale was something. HUMBLING is the emotion that struck me the most w/ seeing a whale. I know the Cali coast contains some great whale-watching, no? If not so much out there, come to New England, or better still, the Bay of Fundy in Canada (just north of New England) is renowned for spotting MANY whales that feed/breed there.

I had never seen a true curly haired horse before. What a sweet filly & props to the Momma nurse who so graciously accepted her after her own foal died. Not every mare will decide to. She really is a miracle survival story. She didn't have many more days left, T.G. someone rescued her when they did.

Gah what a video to wake up to. It broke my heart but then had it crying in happiness :') I rescued, rehabilitated and rehomed all kinds of animals, mostly revolving around dogs and horses for 18 years. I saw some of the worst cases of abuse and neglect in horses that I didn't even think was possible. Every horse that claimed me as their human and became my best friend were some of the worst cases we had ever seen. They never stayed around long... But some of the best years of my life were spent with them living out the best years of their lives and I dont regret a single second of it. My gf whom at the time was my best friend (we were still kids) befriended a horse an ex friend of mine had bought from an auction. She was a gorgeous palimino mare who had been used in a lab for very cruel and in-humane testing and had electrical wires hanging out if her stomach that couldnt be removed. She was terrified of everyone and everything... Except my gf. My gf became pal's bestfriend and would only allow her to touch her and get close. My gf from that point on went on to help me bring animals back from the brink of death and to this day we still continue the tradition. Animals do not deserve cruelty, abuse or neglect. They deserve nothing but underatanding, patience, acceptance, love, care and undying compassion. So to my babies whom changed my life, opened my heart and gave me some of the best years of my life, R.I.P, Valentine (my big hearted race baby), Red ( you taught me what is was to ride a truly spirited horse), Lady Dee ( you amazingly spirited wonder girl), Daquiri ( you phenomenally gorgeous free spirit), and Tantra ( how I wish I'd had more time with you and you hadnt gone out the way you did... I'm so sorry... You were one of a kind and held some of the best memories of my infant life once you found us again) and from my gf, R.I.P pal, you didnt deserve what was done to you we can only hope you left this world knowing that someone did love you and cherish you. R.I.P babies... We'll meet you on the other side and you will NEVER be forgotten
