Any chance you shopped at big daddy’s in 2019. I worked there. I live in lake city and just started building my first AK. Your videos are great.

Great how to videos. I built 2 East German AKM's about 2 year's back. One fixed stock and a side folder. A little advise to first time builder's, don't drill and pin the front sight until you shoot it . If the sight are off a little you can always tap it a little with a hammer at the range to get it shooting straight. Then take it home and pin it.

Don't install/rivet the rear trunnion in permanently until the barrel is pressed in and completed so the ram can push the pennies squarely (I used a 1/4" thick pure copper disk), just place the pins in for fitting. AND FOR GOD SAKE DON'T FORGET WHENEVER YOU USE A PRESS, USE SAFETY GLASSES, AND EVEN A FULL FACE SHIELD IS A GOOD IDEA!

Leaving a comment here, one video from the last. Dude it's pretty freaking awesome to see someone love building firearms from scratch as much as you obviously do. Super educational man. I appreciate all ur efforts with the build and getting it on camera. Taught me a whole lot about a my AK’s. You mentioned ”GainsVille” and I realized that your not too far from me. Hope to one day link up with ya and do something super sick with some new/cool ”toys”. Thanks again my man!! 👍

Hey Baby Face, I had to tell you how much I enjoyed this video. There are a lot of people on you tube who make videos, and talk guns and I'VE watched them all. I'm so glad to see other people loved this video too. Very well done, educational, and silly at the same time. I watched all the parts and wanted more. Thanks again, and good luck

I love how thorough you are with these videos. The best AK tutorial on youtube that I've found. 👌 it sucks however all the pressing, welding, jigs, etc needed to build one. I build AR's all the time and they are SIGNIFICANTLY easier to build with MUCH less tools. If anyone is thinking about doing their first rifle build, I would strongly urge you to do an AR-15 before stepping up to this. And AR's only need about $30 worth of specialty tools/jigs. But I love this little course. It is suuper helpful. Thank you for making this

On the chuck, tighten all three holes, or use a collet. then the drill bit will not fall out; Machine shop tooling supplies has shorter drill bits and they are also half increment sizes: Example 1 and 1.5 and 2 and 2.5.... simplify

I ran into an issue. I purchased an American-made 11.5" barrel from APEX gun parts and the OD for the gas block on the barrel measures at .632. The gas port hole is for a 90-degree gas block. Which AK/AKM gas block would be compatible? Or, would I have to get that portion on the barrel turned down on a lathe to .591?
