Babylon 5 is most likely based on the UN being placed in NYC - of all places. The question as to whether the UN should be in NYC comes up over and over again. I appreciate having the UN here in NYC and always enjoy looking at it when I drive by. NYC is truly the city of the world and having the UN here only supports that belief.
