You sure you wouldn't be grinning from ear to ear, thinking "just wait till they get a look at this". Reminder, our carriers rolling into foreign ports or off the coast of other countries do not inspire great hope in those countries. And if you ever see a nuclear sub surface off those foreign coasts, they pray that its not in preparation for a preemptive or retaliatory deployment of our nuclear arsenal.😅 just saying.

@@canadianbakin1304 sounds good. Let me just check ur probably. When POTUS leaves for over seas, "something" big and scarry shadows em in the ocean. It is part of the "first strike" and "contingency strike" plans available to the commander-in-chief (not a lame briefcase with a hand cuff). Within the last 20 years, "something" provoked one of these to surface off the coast of a "friendly" nation. That country and those around it didn't know it was there till it surfaced and purposely made itself known. Can it launch undetected? Yeah. So it wanted "someone" to know it was there. I was outside the country (USA) when it happened. It was widely covered by the local media in the region. When I got back home (USA), I found our domestic media focusing on secret service shenanigans (all media regardless of political leanings).

The only quibble I have iwth that scene at all, is if you're the opposing ship captain, you have someone surrounded, and they flat out refuse an order to surrender, and then they start quoting their lineage at you, you don't sit there and wait for them to give the speech. You activate "Guns-a-Blazin" protocol.

I think one of the things we ended up losing from how Season 4 was compressed was a proper redemption arc for Garibaldi. I'm fine with everyone forgiving him for what he did eventually once he's earned their trust back, but as presented it seems too easy. It's a shame, I would have loved to see an entire arc of Garibaldi on the run from his own comrades, trying to survive both them and Earth Force and the Psi-Corps gunning for him, how he earns his way back into his former colleagues' good graces and eventually undoes the damage he did under the influence of Bester. Shame. But I understand why things happened the way they did and I'd much rather have the compressed season 4 that we got than having the show end on a cliffhanger that never gets resolved because Season 5 was never made.

An epic episode, and epic reactions. I'm enjoying reliving the series through your eyes immensely. No matter what happens next, you have to watch Season 5 all the way through. Telling you the reasons why would spoil it, so I'll just say it is worth it once you get all the way through the series. It's a great joy, and maybe a great trauma, but it's the best sci-fi story ever told on television. It has a beginning, a middle, and an end. It didn't keep going until the ratings dropped, it ended when the story should have ended. There might be bigger longer sci-fi franchises, but none of them tell a story this good, this deep, this emotionally impactful, this brilliant, this epic. It is the best sci-fi story ever told on television.

Too many movies & TV shows being made today are saying 'We need strong female role models' & are giving us rubbish female characters that are too strong with no growth or development yet this 32 year old show has 2 of the baddest females figures in entertainment. Both had hardship & pain in their lives & used those experiences to build strong foundations to project the power they have found in themselves from. IMO too many of today's 'Strong' female roles models are flawed because they have not had to grow into positions of confidence & power but are given unearned power just because they a female & therefore entitled to it. That which does not destroy us makes us stronger, adversity is the fire that forges us.

Although the ships still had the same weaknesses as the original Omegas, the Omega Shadow Cruisers were an impressive feat of engineering, at the very least making them much more durable and giving them a longer attack range. What surprises me the most is not the bio-hull, but the fact all the Omega's cannons are now firing modified teal energy beams. I doubt they are as strong as a Shadow slicer beam, but definitely strong enough to still one-shot a White Star. The Shadow Omegas were equipped with Thunderbolt fighters (Based on the older Starfury and the newest line of Earth's space superiority fighters)

37:37 the “sleepers” are really messed up. They make psychics depressed and emotionally unstable-it’s the medicine that Ivanova’s mother was on that drove her to take herself out. Put Bester on a forced injection of that stuff using an embedded device. That would be amazing. Like an insulin pump for sleepers.

The prior Exec smuggled in some Coffee plants and Susan took them over. First mentioned in the Gathering, Michael used them for blackmailing Susan once and Susan mentioned it when she was checking out Corwin on his promotion for bringing into the loop. Coffee has little food value and not the easiest crop to grow well. Needing rich volcanic soil and shade for the best, then needing roasted and ground. That consumes a lot of energy. With limited growing space on a space station or even a greenhouse dependent colony like you might have on Mars the crops are going to be high food value and CO2 to O2 conversion by requirements. The Zen garden was another place they pointed out in The Gathering was hard to set aside for. At least the baseball field grew grass that likely was used for food for some races as well as for exercise.

I'm sure you can get fresh coffee in one of the pricier restaurants on the station, those even the command crew can't just causally visit. And there are probably other items more lucrative to be brought to and sold on the station. It might be even the question of the ability to afford it. From what we have seen the ambassador's might be the richest people permanently residing on the station. Others are just there for business meetings and gone after a few days.

As bad as the episode was, Garibaldi can't follow the advice he got in 'TKO' where he was warned to watch his back. We saw the cybernet in season one when they used it on Sinclair, but we never really considered how much worse it could be used. As for the space battle, the Shadow Omegas would probably have made mincemeat out of anything the younger races could have brought to the table including Minbari ships, but the White Stars are simply on another level. And I doubt you are ready for the 'Endgame'.

Trouble is the studio had stated that season 4 was to be the last one, and several actors had already signed new contracts with other films/series and could not commit for season 5 when this was then green lit far too late in season 4. This is all the fault of the studio. Actors not present in season 5 that would have meant sense to be there, it is all the fault of studio idiots who did not know true sci-fi. The first time when live broadcast in the 1990s resulted by refusing to watch anything produced by this stupid studio for 20 years. Same thing happened to EA games after they cancelled earth and beyond mmorpg in 2003. Good job net-7 made a mmorpg emulator recently...
