This was the second track (first if you consider 'Future Metal' as more of an intro) on the Metal Galaxy album. The guitar solo was provided by Tak Matsumoto who is lead guitarist with B'z - Japan's biggest selling band of all time by a very long way apparently, so having him guest on this track was a big thing for BABYMETAL.

Oooh, I see. I had no idea. Wow, good for them for having Tak Matsumoto part of their concert. I also had no idea who he was... Now I know. :)

@@xsezz He wasn't actually at the concert (and they were using 'Future Metal' and 'Da Da Dance' to open all their shows on the UK and Europe tour in 2020), but he was a huge scalp for them to have collaborate as a guest - and then to use him for only about 20 seconds of the song.

I didn't like this song that much at first, but it has become one of my favourites to listen to despite its "simplicity". It gets you moving and the energy is infectious. Love it.

⚡ 💕 / 💃 This is BABYMETAL's tribute to Japanese Dance music of the '90s. The "Whoa!" in the background is a famous sample used in many '90s dance hits. Everything from the guest solo guitarist Tak Matsumoto on the studio version of the song, to Moa's lyrics in her rap section are direct references to dance songs of that era. In Moa's case, she's literally listing song titles from the era. Matsumoto is best known for the group B'z. They're the best selling artists ever in Japan, and one of the best selling worldwide. It was quite a score getting him for the 'Metal Galaxy' album, but as Su has mentioned, they were able to get all of their first choices as guest artists. Matsumoto was very influential in Japanese Dance music from the '90s, so he's a perfect choice for this track.

Nice! Yeah, this song is a real shot of adrenaline. Don't listen to this while driving if you don't want a speeding ticket.
