Great reaction. Their choreo is bespoke for each song and they are pretty much flawless for every song in every concert despite going non-stop. In 2016 they played two nights at the Tokyo Dome, a completely different set each night and they played every song from the first two albums, none repeated, completely different choreo for each song (including a Prog Metal song that they only ever played live that one time - 'Tales of the Destinies' when you are ready for that one). This was a fan made video using the live performance video (recorded at Makuhari Messe in January, their first live shows in nearly 2 years) and clips from the official visualizer spliced together ... the audio was all from the live performance - they really are that good. Su-metal liked this song so much when they first heard the demo (it reminded her of 'Road of Resistance' from the second album) that she said she wanted to write the lyrics ... which is exactly what happened - her first official writing credit although she has changed words in previous songs and had a big hand in the vocal melodies in most of them I think. I don't have the translation to hand, but she wrote it as a 'follow your own path, no turning back, battle your way through' thing.

It's the audio and pro-shot they taken directly from the concert to make BD with some cleanups (tbh Babymetal best at those concerts, they can straight up create their music videos from their lives like the Gimmi Chocolate you watched - but those MV are usually studio audio only - which lacking the natural sound quality of their voices and the impacfulness/heaviness of real instrumentals the Kamiband play), the fan video just edited the official visualizer into it to "censor" parts of it to avoid copyrights

Great reaction, thanks! That was a weird montage with the actual live visuals from the Makuhari concerts and the official visualizer. Fortunately it has the live audio. And yes, it's very good! I love this song from the very first time I listened to it. And that's very rare on me. Well structured, elegant, with cool drum & bass parts, nice symphonic touch, some heavy riffing and, of course Su's awesome vocals. It was their comeback song after the hiatus last year and to me it's perfect. Notice that Su-metal is credited for the lyrics on this one for the first time. That's a really big achievement and (in her own words) a dream to her. So, I'm extremely happy for her and so proud. Her "T" pose makes totally sense, hehe.... Until next time! 🤘🦊

Glad you enjoyed! This showcases their new more "grown up" dance style .. less running and jumping and craziness, but really detailed wuick movements, a delightvto watch for sure, and they probably burn even more calories than when they were younger. Absolute greatness.

This was filmed at Babymetal Returns - The Other One at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Tokyo in late January this year. It was their first live concert in 18 months, so this was the world premiere live performance. Oh, and I was there, and it was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had; Babymetal live in Japan is like nothing else I've ever seen. That was the live audio, but this video is taken from the Bluray release, and they do some post production on the audio for them. Every Babymetal song has its own unique signature choreography, so yes, they have to remember the dance routines for every song. The choreographer who designs their routines is Mikiko Mizuno (aka Mikikometal).

Thanks for this reaction. they have different routines for each song, but what they do is: the moves are tied to the lyrics, so when the lyrics repeat they also repeat the moves. Their most difficult show for a stage was probably Tokyo Dome, lots of moving pieces, round stage which is going round...? But the most difficult was probably the (one time) performance of Tales of the Destinies, lots of time signature changes...

Those are live vocals. If you listen to the studio version there is a noticeable difference. Moa's backup vocals too. I have seen them live many times, and this is how they sound

great show dude, this video is a clever way around copyright, with the editing of a live performance mixed with the Official Visualizer MV, and it is also the lyric writing debut of the awesome SU-METAL, the third lady didn't have a mic, but she has had a mic since April 2nd when she became the official 3rd member and since then the chorus is more full sounding with the duel vocals. I highly recommend "From Dusk Till Dawn" live at Budokan

This is from their latest album which is a welcome return to quality. BABYMETAL is performance art, and as such it’s peerless, but it’s not the best metal to come out of Japan by a long shot. Just type Japanese all-female metal into KZbin and say goodbye to a few days!

you're in for a treat! i won't suggest more songs than what the other commenters here have done, all i wanna say: take your time. they've been here for 13 years, 4 albums (so far), and countless of live shows. every single one of them are a blast. the fox hole is really deep on this one. and enjoy the ride!
