This is from BabyMetal’s first performance outside tour of Asia in front 60,000 grizzled Metal heads who are known to be very rude and rowdy to bands they do not like. BabyMetal was originally scheduled to perform on a small side stage but the song you are reacting to was vital on the Internet and these girls were placed on THE MAIN STAGE. They were terrified in the beginning but as the pros they are came on and did a 35 minute set of six songs and left the crowd screaming WE WANT MORE! And the rest as they say is BabyMetal history. They are respected by Metallica, Slipknot, Guns and Roses, Judas Priest and pretty much the entire Heavy Metal band community because they are hardworking, disciplined and humble. Being backed by a world class backup band The Kami Band helps😉

I’m no “grizzled metalhead” but I was there,. I’d never heard of them but everyone including me loved them almost immediately, how could you not? Place went wild. (The stuff about the fans being “nasty & rude” is massively overstated. Sure there are assholes but the vast majority are there for a good time).

I envy you sir. I understand the girls consider the UK their second home (with good reason).

Everyone I show them to has the same reaction. Jaw dropped confusion followed by a wow, topped off that’s crazy. Everything about them shouldn’t work at all but it does.

At this concert Babymetal were new to the west and were supposed to be on a side stage. They were switched to the main stage at the last minute and stars were born.

Nice re-upload, thanks! Just imagine being a metalhead warming up to see Iron Maiden that night. And getting THIS just at 1 pm without having no clue what was BABYMETAL about. I know my mind would explode. Because that almost happened when I discovered them. The reaction of the crowd was remarkable, asking for more at the end of the set. A member of the organization said on an interview (Metal Hammer July 2021 issue) that they had never seen so many people at that time slot.

have never heard your band play, but the fact that you were able (5:08 ish), to identify phrygian dominant just with that little riff.. i have respect for your musicianship

Great reaction. BabyMetal generates shock and nonplusses with most first time listeners. Musicianship, composition, vocals, show are absolutely top shelf professionally and creatively. Awesome and unique band. Go ahead. It's ok to love them.

Good re-upload. I don't know what you may have been told about this song and performance the first time round .... Sonisphere 2104 was BABYMETAL's very first show in the UK and their first major event outside of Asia. They were originally booked to play a small side stage or tent with maybe a couple of thousand people and mostly their own fans, but the music video for 'Gimme Chocolate' had gone viral and the show they had booked for London a couple of days later had sold out so fast it had been moved to a bigger venue - which also sold out fast. Possibly because of this they were moved to the main stage at Sonisphere with just a couple of months notice - there were some threats made on social media by people who thought it was a joke band or a gimmick to boo them off and throw stuff. Fortunately that never happened - the lead singer, Su-metal, was only 16, Moametal had her 15th birthday the day before, Yuimetal turned 15 just a couple of weeks earlier and they were in a strange country they had never visited and where they didn't even speak the language. From back stage the girls couldn't see the crowd and they were worried nobody had come to see them and what should they do if that was the case. They went on stage only to find themselves facing a sea of 50,000 and more puzzled faces as the vast majority of the crowd had no clue who or what they were - or why there were 3 little Japanese girls in red tutus walking on stage at a metal festival. 'Gimme Chocolate' was just the second song of the set and already, as you saw, Su-metal was trying to get the UK crowd to sing along ... in Japanese. Some tried, the rest were more like "huh, sing what?" They played 5 songs in all in the 25-30 minutes they were given. By the end of their last song the crowd had got it and were calling for "one more song" as the girls walked off stage. Su-metal has spoken about how it looked like a wave starting in the front couple of rows and rolling back through the crowd as their set went on with the people jumping and joining in. They had the biggest mosh pits of the weekend, their merch outsold all the other bands playing - that included big names like Slayer, Iron Maiden, Metallica and many more.

I can't remember if you've already done a reaction to that, but I think you'll like the Rondo of Nightmares (with Mischief of Gods intro) live @ Budokan Black Night. The intro is all Kami band and their incredible skill, and the song after is great as well.

Nice reaction. Babymetal has away of getting stuck in your head. The tunes are catchy yet the music can hit you real hard. Boh is the bass player. He really gets into the music. He's fun to watch. Babymetal has a magical way of getting audiences pumped up and becoming part of the show. Babymetal is an experience live.
Yeah I remember you, good to see you back with this re-upload. Kitsune up! 🦊🤘

You should watch 'Catch Me If You Can' because it's my favorite but also you get solos from the band. kzbin.info/www/bejne/q5jRqoBsbrGBa5Y And being one of the many many people deep deep in the foxhole we swarm from one reaction to another so doing more babymetal (but only if you like them, of course) will help a new channel.

Does that mean you'll be reposting the uncut version of your Road of Resistance reaction? You guys were great in that reaction, hope you do more Babymetal .... a few to checkout would be Karate from Download 2016, Babymetal Death Legend 1997 (checkout the description for the translation of the Japanese intro), IDZ from Sonisphere 2014 (moved from a side stage to mainstage, overcame threats of being booed or have things thrown at them for being a gimmick, and conquered the whole crowd), or BxMxC from their performance in Brussels there's some great HD fancams or from Legend Metal Galaxy concerts. Live Babymetal is Best Babymetal. Try putting up a water mark to get past copyright. 😜🤘🦊🤘

@@SC_Archive As Herbert says, the workaround is incredibly simple: 1) Place a semi-transparent pic over the embedded video OR 2) Adjust the opacity of the embedded video so it's semi-transparent, just enough to get past the block but still allowing the viewer to see what's going on. It's highly effective, we've helped many reactors with this. Here are a couple examples: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6HWq3msbMajeLc kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZfChIV-f82bh5I kzbin.info/www/bejne/roW7aZavdp6gpas You may need to play around with how much transparency to set it at but it should work for all video blocks. Please do more BABYMETAL reactions! There's many videos perfectly safe to react to without any adjustments. Here's a couple: BABYMETAL | Headbanger!!「ヘドバンギャー!!」| LIVE at 'Legend 1997' (HQ) kzbin.info/www/bejne/qF6VeoxnZdBsga8 BABYMETAL | Catch Me If You Can (with Kami Band Intro) | LIVE at Budokan Black Night (HQ) kzbin.info/www/bejne/j5qke5iBnNqZg80 Please use those exact links. They're high quality and safe against blocks. Thanks!
