Couldnt breathe the whole performance. Happens every time when I listen Bach.

Absolutely understandable, Tahmeed! By the way, I kindly recommend the appreciation of the work of a living classical composer dedicated mostly to sacred music. I feel myself like a sort of non-official ambassador for his music - and, effectively, also one of his few supporters. He is very, very talented. You won't be disappointed. kzbin.info

What is meant by "he could no longer see the wood of the trees"????
@sanderb17695 жыл бұрын
It's a Dutch saying "door de bomen het bos niet meer zien" or "not seeing the forest because of the trees". It means there are so many things on your mind/to do/ to see that you can't see the bigger picture or think clearly anymore. In other words, you're so focussed and distracted by all the individual trees that you don't recognise they're part of a forest.

“You can’t see the forest through the trees” is a phrase in many languages.

Is there any evidence that CPE Bach "couldn't see the wood for the trees?" The opposite could be the case.
