Mr. Barton, I am thoroughly enjoying your way of teaching different techniques of how to play piano pieces. Oh by the way I am 85yrs old and have been playing the piano most of those years. My first classical lessons were in London England. My teacher was Sir S Smith although he wastn't a Sir. My audition he aske me to play the scale of F major. A lare echoing room and i played the scale and at the end I realized I had forgotton the B flat. But, in my innocence I shoulded in my Glasgow accent I had forgootn the Black note. He shouted from the far end of the room I will take you as a pupil The fee was one guinee My mother cleaned the offices in the early mornings to pay for those lessons. just a lttle story from a long time ago.. The discovery of the new technology, and my neighbor hooking up a computer for me has been a wonderful experience for me now that I have time to concentrate with little or no interruptions. Thank you I will keep waching and studying .At my age it keeps the brain active and the hands happy. M.Williams Kelowna British Columbia Canada

Paul, would you ever play Rachmaninoff's 2nd concerto first movement? It would be helpful to have an overhead piano view to study the fingering. I know it's a huge lot to ask, but it would mean the world to a lot of us!

great video! a tally cleared some things up for me, since I'm also doing the Goldberg variations and was struggling to practice this effectively on piano. I will have the opportunity to play this on a two manual harpsichord later, however. thanks again!

Wonderful -- gives me hope that I might actually be able to play the hand-crossers. As obvious as it now seems, it never occurred to me to trade some of the parts between hands to avoid the crossing! Thanks very much for this. Look forward to the tweaked sheet music.
