I LIKE Rachel & Bryan together! :) And I've been rooting for them ever since Week 3! Their love and excitement for each other is just too cute and infectious. IMO, I think people were so focused on Rachel's "love story" with Peter, that they completely MISSED the subtle signs that Rachel and Bryan were actually falling in love. Me personally however, I was picking up on everything...even the little subtleties that showed me that Bryan and Rachel were actually the ones who were falling deeper and deeper in love. I even paid close attention to how Rachel talked about Bryan in the interviews. Throughout the season I ALWAYS heard how she mentioned how Bryan made her FEEL ("he accepts me, flaws and all...and I've never had that before", "he's REAL", "I believe Bryan when he tells me that he's falling in love with me...", "Bryan makes me feel like a princess", etc.) ...she was saying ALL of this BEFORE the show even aired to the American public, so you can tell that this was how she really felt. Yet, I NEVER heard her say these types of things about Peter. Bryan truly made her feel like a woman. It's just a shame that ABC edited the show in such a way where they made it SEEM like Bryan was fake, and that Rachel's "real love" was with Peter. Naaaah...Actually I think it was the other way AROUND. I think Rachel was infatuated with Peter, and was attracted to his mysteriousness and slight ambivalence, but in the end she had to follow her heart, let go of the fear, and STOP chasing after the guys who left her guessing or who were a "challenge". I get it. I've been like Rachel before in the past as well. But now? I'm not settling for a guy who just views me as "good enough". I want a guy who is CRAZY about me! Just like Bryan is for Rachel! ^_^ Rachel made the best choice imo :)

I think many of us don't view passionate kissing and sexual chemistry as a good foundation for a marriage. We were focused on how much Rachel and Peter connected mentally and emotionally. They had deeper conversations, they communicated better and their conversation flowed more naturally. Peter is the type of man you fall in love with mentally and emotionally first, then you build the sexual chemistry after that. Bryan seems to lead with his sexual and physical chemistry and not with his mental chemistry and Rachel seems to be very into all the sexual chemistry. I think this is why its hard for us to see this lasting very long. Anyone who has every been in long term relationships knows that the sex part always dies out at some point and all you're left with is the person on the inside. When you don't build that connection first, you end up learning too late that you don't really like who they are on the inside.

Peter never thought he would become a finalist. I think after the show started he began to have second thoughts about it, and didn't know how to get out of it, so he thought he would be eliminated. Although he told Rachel he didn't want to lose her, but he didn't want to get engaged this way, he wanted to wait. Bryan and Rachel need to be left alone to develop strong feelings for each other, away from the show and negative people. These are two mature people, Bryan a doctor and Rachel a lawyer. Both have already admitted they want children, Bryan said three and Rachel want four, and they said they were moving in together. They have been engaged several months but could not say anything until the last episode aired. I wish them well.

I have nothing against the field, but they should NOT be associated with the same knowledge, work and status that a medical doctor is! And frankly, after he was done with them, he'd refer them to an ACTUAL doctor anyway. I think she's doing that to reassure Bryan that she really loved only him and to reassure herself. I'll give you an example: Have you ever met someone who did you wrong yet they tried to make you seem like the bad person instead? It's psychological trick that many people do to feel better about themselves and their decision. The easiest way to make yourself feel better is to make the other person look like a bad person who deserved it. Only people who feel guilty about their decisions do this and the mental trick makes them feel better. It's unfair to the people who have to receive it. The requirements for chiropractors are you must have a bachelor's degree, and completr three to four years at a chiropractic school after which you earn a degree of DOC, Doctor of Chiropractic medicine. In order to practice you must pass an extensive exam to be licensed to practice. And yes he is a Doctor of chiropractic medicine. So we are exactly right to call him a Doctor, he earned it. Not to be confused with an MD, medical doctor , two different specialties.

Truth Seeker, Peter chose to include 2 of his Black friends on national tv; Rachel chose 0. It was insulting ONLY because of her accusation against Will; otherwise, her friends are her friends. BTW, on a personal level I can relate; my friends are primarily White because of my interests. The point I'm trying to make - guess I'm not doing that great - is Rachel's willingness to criticize and disparage despite the fact that a lot of her insults could be thrown right back at her. She could have engaged Will in a conversation as to how things can look very different from the outside and not reveal the actual experience of being in an interracial relationship. Bryan's family is Columbian, and his mother imo is very controlling. I watched this show for the first and last time, a very interesting social construct. Peter just wasn't ready, he gave too many mixed messages or he flat out played her for his air time and future television ventures. She was mad with him during the finale, her mood was so different, it really surprised me. She was fake with Peter was who she wanted to marry, Bryan, the consolation prize, was who she left with. Bryan is lover/boyfriend material, Peter is husband material--once he is ready. Her family didn't like Bryan, so I feel the marriage (if it happens), will not last.
