What did Simon get for Christmas?
It was a Bachmann class 47.
In this short video we fit a decoder and the etched nameplates and then take the loco to our train shed for a Christmas running session.

Merry Christmas Simon, What a lovely present, a class 47 diesel in intercity livery, now you have a complete intercity train from the 1990s with mark 3 coaches and all. For changing from DC to DCC, I saw that it's actually pretty easy with a newer locomotive but for older locomotives it's a lot harder! But I will learn. I hope you enjoy running this beautiful locomotive on your model railway and cherish it for many years to come. Merry Christmas everyone, and I wish you a happy new year. Keep your steam up. Kevig
