In America, now they are because of the way we wash the eggs and have organized the industry, which makes salmonella more possible. I'm 50 and when I was a kid, some were refrigerated, but some weren't that came from local farms.

So, do you guys not have shrimp in the UK? Only prawns? Because that is all you mention. In the US and Canada prawns are larger than shrimp and have more feet so they are different. Two distinct crustaceans. That is what I have been led to believe and also I have seen the difference when buying prawns versus buying shrimp.

So, I don't understand why people in the UK and Australia would choose to call something that is not identified scientifically as a prawn a prawn. But whatever floats Britain and the Commonwealth's boat. Only, in Canada which is a Commonwealth country people use proper nomenclature. Good night.
