the detail is perfection. No other channel with this detail. Amazing.

Awesome video. Perfect for someone like me who does tai chi and has no experience in ground fighting. I want to learn a wrestling style, but this is a good introduction.

great video. only thing i saw is the little intricacies of it, as using the blades of your forearms, the bottom arm bicep being against the side of the neck immediately, and to push the head down. That's more of a technicality that a primer of self defense doesn't dive into bc the concept is more important to teach first, then the specifics. it's definitely a better video and instruction i could give so again, great job.

Excellent video. At 10:34 i assume you can also do the arm switch before moving onto the next movement also (before walking your legs to the side)? Rather than keeping the arm on you chest, put it to your left shoulder?
@EffectiveMartialArts7 жыл бұрын
Great observation, Hatch. Indeed you can and should most definitely combine escapes for greater effectiveness. Any time you can break the seatbelt and get good control on the top arm, you should attempt the arm switch. Hope this helps :) - Patrick

Thanks Patrick! Sounds good. We need all the help we can get in this scenario! All the best with your training.

how do you guys belt system works cuz that looks so cool
@EffectiveMartialArts7 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment and question, Emanuel. Our belt system is as follows: White - Yellow - Orange - Green - Blue - Purple - Brown - Black. The highest technical level is Black Belt, and the Red Belt is for school owners. There are also individual stripes to be earned on each belt. You can check out our "Playlists" section for the requirements for the beginner belts. We will be working on an online platform in the future when you can earn the belts by submitting videos of yourself executing the techniques, but that won't be for a little while; there's a lot of work to be done before we get there. Thanks again. - Patrick

I think the rear naked choke can sometimes kill someone so be careful

or possibly cause brain damage

Indeed, if you keep on holding the choke after the person has passed out, in theory you could kill someone. To be used wisely.
