That was fun .. Did that road in 2021 with my Crosstrek .. my son learned how to spot me on those ledges right past the Park gates. 🤠

I usually do not watch Arches videos as I have been there more times than I can count. It has gotten so crowded like certain other NPs that I have crossed it off my list such as Glacier, RMNP, Zion, Yosemite and any other NP with entrance restrictions. I "followed" you here after watching your comb ridge video which is now on my list. I do want to mention to those who may have less capable rigs than the one in the video and are contemplating this part of the trail from Klondike Bluffs to Willow Springs Road that the NPS suggests doing the road traveling South as that direction is generally downhill and may be easier to negotiate the deep sand especially if wet. Of course, getting yourself in position to travel South to Willow Springs Road means you have to tackle the rough section mentioned in the video at the beginning of the trail from the Salt Valley end.

So i assume if we come in through that road we dont need the reserve entrance ticket ?

This policy was not in place when we visited the park. We carry an annual park pass for all National Parks and thus did not need to enter via the main entrance. I have researched your question and it appears a timed entry ticket is only required at the main entrance to help with over crowding. You should be good to enter via Willow Springs Road without a timed entry ticket, but we suggest calling the park to verify.

Is the trail well defined and easy to follow? At 11:06 in the vid did you go right or left ? Will be doing this trail in July dont want to get lost

The trail is very well defined and marked with signs at all major intersections. At 11:06 we are simply driving up a portion of the trail which happens to be a sand wash. Unless there has been a recent rain, you should be able to follow tracks. We use an app called AllTrails. Downloading a map of the area prior to leaving cell service assures you won’t get lost. Do keep in mind the trails illustrated on the app can be hiking trails.
