I’m glad you made it back from your big trip. I need to catch up on that video. Yeah it does take a while to clean up from a good meal. Just look at all the stuff you’re learning also I’ve heard if you put baking soda in with a load of laundry, it helps really kill the smell, not a lot just a little bit but those foam pads don’t turn out. You can always use them to cut out some new stuff. Enjoy the boat. Ok 👌🏼🔥🤠🔥Camping Russ out

We always used untreated charcoal brickettes, just sit them on a plate and they'll suck up the moisture. You'd need the ones that have not been coated in lighter fluid, you'll know when to change them out, when they're covered in the furry stuff. You can crush em up and toss em in the garden or in the glen.

I'm so glad to know that you 2 guys are cooking, and making good meals for yourselves! That is a priceless thing to know and be able to do. Also, I love the cooking segments! I love the little side show your Mom has now too. You guys are doing great for yourselves, and happy your learning to take care of yourselves, it's a wonderful thing. It's good to be there for each other, help and learn from each other. There's no better reward than a good home cooked meal, at the end of a long day!

I love the way the teak oil turned out, really sprused the woods up. I hope you get some smell out air drying the cushion covers. That chicken looked delicious, i thought simple meals inspired you right away but no it was a recipe online lol niiiice. Cant wait to see your sailboat renovation, minor or not still looks pretty cool! Hope you get a solar sponsorship or something like that.

Thank you! The whole chicken was an inspiration from my mother’s cooking but I needed a reference to help guide me😅🍗 solar panels are definitely on the list of things to come! ⛵️🤙🏻

Outstanding! The footage of my favorite star, Lando, was great! It ticked all of the boxes - excited Lando, happy Lando, adoring Lando, content Lando, and best of all, spoiled Lando 🐾♥️🐾 Seriously, I found this video interesting, and I felt a shared satisfaction for the refinishing of the wood for your boat, the cushion covers into the laundry, awesome roasted chicken! Even the moisture absorbers! And hearing plans for the future of your floating off grid home. And being a Grandma, hearing your appreciation for your parents was lovely 😊

There are a lot of videos on KZbin for making your own power generator out of radiator fans, household fans, etc. You could probably generate enough power to keep a fan running.

Never use urethane on marine wood. The coating will peel off quickly and create a lot of work for you when you have to sand it all off again. The teak oil will preserve the wood fine but it has to be occasionally re-applied. We did this as a yearly maintenance job. There will be many such jobs.
@fireflyrocks15 ай бұрын
The same goes for any wood that is exposed to the out doors .
@adventureguysofficial5 ай бұрын
Great info! I liked the way varnish finished better anyway. Would applying varnish on interior wood be fine? I’d love to spruce up the inside of my boat as well.

Hi little Pete. Your boat is exciting. Happy for you. Hope you can pull the sailboat to port at the land you find. I lived on 35 ft Karlcraft over 40 yrs ago for 2 yrs. On old hickory lake. It was just like small house and a beast to keep clean. Winter was beautiful when the lake froze. Speedboat mode of transportation in warm weather. Lot fishing lot parties cookouts. My friends boats. My mother had died at 40. I was only 21. I worked as secretary. Boat was home 24/7. Very healing on the water. Some of worst bumps and bruises I ever had. Easy get hurt on boat. I subscribed. R.

When you wash the cushion covers, rinse them with a clothes fresherner! And then once a week or so, spray it with a FREBREEZE upholstery spray. This kills molds and keeps them smelling nice!

Really enjoying your videos and seeing the progress with the boats. There are some great recipes for bourbon basted turkey online if you want to cook a bigger bird for the whole family and feature it on your Mother’s channel. A great deodorizer for boat items- mix 50/50 white vinegar and water and spray and place in the sun to dry. Thanks for sharing your adventures.

Pete, It makes my day to see you working on your boats. In the USNavy I was the captains coxswain on his personal gig. 36 foot LCPL. 671 turbo diesel inboard. Painted with Enron paint. Used to wax her every week. Best looking gig in the fleet. Your boat has beautiful lines. She is a beauty.
