This happened to be too, when I did pigeon pose! I have done yoga on and off for years, but I have never had a relise like this or an experience like that, ever in my life! I could almost not sleep tonight because of the pain and this morning, still exausted and pretty frustrated, I get out of bed and choose to come to my mat. To find some space, to find some release without having big expectations it would be enough. I am feeling SO much better, the pain have calm itself and I was impressed how effective it was. Thanks so much for creating this video. I am a 54 yo surfer and have had back pain for many years exacerbated by a snowboarding accident. I recommend this video to all my surfing friends as I truly believe it helps me heal my pain and improve my lower body flexibility and strength. Surfing requires every part of your body to be flexible and strong and if your back and hips are stiff you really struggle to surf properly. I also love the meditative aspect of the routine. Like surfing it ticks all my boxes. It’s exercise, fun and a little meditative so good for your body and mind.

I used to stop working out my body completely when I used to feel heavy emotion. Thank you for explaining that it is a release of emotion and that it was stored in my body. Personally I feel like it was the right time for those emotions to pass and no longer served me. Before this practice, I would wake up every morning and my first steps would be hobble-wobbles because my left hip joint hurt so badly. After doing this just one time, the next morning I could walk NORMALLY and balanced because the pain was gone. THANK YOU!!!!! 🙏🏼

I hurt my back a couple of days ago. Yesterday I could barely stand up straight and I hurt all day. I tried ibuprofen, excerdrin, Ice, heat, pain cream, essential oils, Lidocaine patch and a muscle relaxer all with no relief. This morning I watched and did this yoga practice, praying it would give me some relief and It DID, it helped.. tremendously! I am 90% better! Thank you!

I have been injured very many times. When I was 12 I fractured my L5. I've had back pain for 24 years. I have always been super active and just lived with the pain. Two days ago I twisted funny and my lower back was just awful. I did this practice yesterday. Starting, I was very stiff. At the end, the difference was amazing. I had much more range of motion, and today there is hardly any pain at all. Thank you, Juliana and Mark!

While I usually love your videos, this practice is NOT for sciatica relief. Any kind of cobra pose, or back extensions like the many included in this practice are agonizing for someone who is currently experiencing sciatica pain. I had to stop after 12 minutes because this routine hurt my back so much, and I'm not even having an extreme flare up. Perhaps this is better for upper pain discomfort, or sciatica prevention, but I wouldn't recommend anyone with a sciatica flare up to do any kind of back extension because it can do more harm than good.

My sciatica has been horrid for the last 3 days. A wrist brace has kept me from regular practice for the last 3 months now and my back is noticing. 😣 I did this practice this morning (minus the planks due to the wrist issues) and I can move now. 🙂.

Hi Juliana, I've been following your practice for a few months and I really appreciate everything about your work. You have wonderful healing energy and I don't know why (maybe I know...) especially when doing this practice, I end up often crying....I was hit by a car a few years ago and I am still recovering from the injury. I think I buried some emotions not fully letting go and those emotions come back and released when practicing this movement. Every time I cry, I feel better and I tell myself that I am safe and I am okay. Thank you and love you!

Morning from Devon in the UK, thank you for this workout - having been a sciatica sufferer for the past 17 years (due to pregnancy), my recent yoga journey has been the only thing that has made a huge improvement to symptoms. Just wish I'd discovered the power of stretching and the importance of core strength years ago... and my advice to anyone who's pregnant is to make time for yoga every day. I’ve been a fan & subscriber of your videos for several years, I searched your channel first for sciatic nerve yoga stretches. 2 days ago my sciatic nerve flared up suddenly and hadn’t gone away. Been taking ibuprofen, and walking a little. I came across this video, it’s helping to release the pain gradually. During yoga stretches I had multiple emotional releases and shed tears. You’re right that stress can be bottled up and by deep breathing & stretching, focusing on letting go is very comforting & I feel much better now. After doing this class a few more times I feel I’ll be back to my self again. Thank you & namaste.

I’ve been following your videos for a few years and this is by far my favorite. I used to do advanced yoga and then a couple years ago I was hit by a car and I let my body just deteriorate after that. I was so frustrated and angry with it. I’ve been in physical therapy the last few months and finally felt motivated to try yoga again in recent weeks. I can remember how much I love and appreciate my body already and feel it healing with every session. This one was amazing for my back and hips and I’ll definitely revisit it often. Lambi Newsham 😢 Me too. Stretch-and-release-three-times teaching style seems to have gone out of fashion in my local area- I can only find stretch-and-holllllld classes, which put too much strain on my weak areas.

Lambi, same here. Felt it towards the end of her 21-day yogalates challenge. But i kept on and still do it. And sure enough, I searched her channel for lower back pain and Boho has it! It’s just my second day and I’m already feeling some relief! Love, light and gratitude, Juliana & Mark 😘

Ty so much Juliana I needed that,I did something to my lower back n it's been hurting the last few days ,its been hard to sleep, I have to sleep in fetal position to get some relief n lay on heating pad, I hope it gets better as we in process of moving 😊💗💗💗

I had a back injury a few weeks ago, i couldn't even bend my back nor was i able to sleep well because of the pain. This and some other videos of yours helped me so much! Thanks to you i'm on my way to full recovery. Nothing beats daily exercise. Hugs from Italy/Germany xxx

I’ve had back pain for over a year now. It’s been very depressing as no one believes me (because I’m young). A friend from work told me to try this video, she was suffering from static’s pain. She told me it was the only thing that got her through. Today I tried this, I didn’t realize how tight my gluteal and hamstrings muscles were. At time I thought they felt as if the muscles would snap 😧. I’m going to continue to do this and try and release these muscles. Hopefully this will help me heal and my back.

I just had a really bad sciatic nerve injury and I had been looking at different yoga routine videos for tension/nerve pain and happened upon yours and I had to comment to let you know how absolutely amazing this routine is! I love how you have incorporated mindfulness into healing your body, you really make this routine so soothing and relaxing as well. Thank you so much for making this video. You are a true gem I am experiencing my first bout with sciatica & feel 100% better than after the prescribed physical therapy session. I do have a yoga & pilates routine but wasnt sure if I should deviate off of the PT recommendation. So glad I tried my traditional practice. Thank you so much for this workout
