The answer is CLREAR….DON’T GO BACK TO US BABY, STAY PERMANENTLY IN AFRICA. AFRICANS LOVE AFRICAN AMERICANS. REMEMBER, WHITE PEOPLE EVERYWHERE IN THIS WORLD HAS INBORN HATRED FOR AFRICANS AND PEOPLE OF COLOR. IN AFRICAN COUNTRIES, AFRICANS ARE IN THE MAJORITY AND IN CONTROL OF THEIR COUNTRIES. IN SOUTH AFRICA, WHERE I LIVE WHITE RACISM CANNOT BE TOLERATED AND THOSE RACIST WHITES END UP GOING INTO OUR PRISONS. YOU ARE SAFE HERE IN AFRICA, LITTLE BABY….COME BACK AND LIVE IN AFRICA PERMANENTLY…WE LOVE YOU!!!!

I will never know, what that really means, to have that kind of baggage. But I really hope for you, that your grown self-esteem will help you to keep a bit that "relaxness" while travelling. And I will never understand this crazy world. You are BEAUTIFUL people. Look flowers like roses: Some are white, some are red, some are orange, some are pink, and all are beautiful. And wow, Luke is a very smart guy. He has said something so important. Have a nice trip (hope, with good experiences). Greetings from Switzerland.

Safe travels! Just focus on visiting the people you're looking forward to seeing, going shopping 🛍 to get the stuff you are missing (like grits!), going to the really good restaurants that you miss, and just have fun for your short stay. Don't worry about what other people think of you; it's more of a reflection on them anyway and where they are and has nothing to do with you.

I just returned from vacation in Accra and Kumasi. It was so great to be somewhere where my skin color is normal. A completely different feeling looking around and seeing representation of black people everywhere, and feeling not “other.” Then I had to come back to, well, all that stuff you said. One nice thing about the covid test coming back to US, at Kotoka they give you a choice of nasal or throat swab. Throat triggers your gag response, but less uncomfortable than their nasal swab which I had to do on arrival. That was super painful as I have a small nose, and I wound up with a sinus headache the entire first night I was there.

It is so difficult to unpack the comments that you made about going back to America after being in Ghana for so long. I was recently in Togo for three weeks visiting family. I never worried about my blackness, just that I look different from the Togolese people. I am 5’ 9 and built more like a large Nigerian, so I stick out. When I open my mouth, it is confirmed that I am different. With all of that said, I still would rather deal with that than deal with the lifetime baggage that comes with being a Black man in America. We plan to eventually spend the majority of our time in Africa, coming back to the states to handle business and deal with health issues if they come up. We are torn between moving to Ghana and moving to Togo where my wife’s family is. Ghana would be less complicated because we don’t have the language barrier to deal with or the infrastructure issues that Togo has. Our only real downside with choosing Ghana is we will be totally on our own. I love your show and love you guys! Your honesty and relatability is a real plus. Continue to keep it real and you will have a fan for life! One day we will hopefully meet. Take care.

Do you have to take that 24 hour test, I heard that's what they wanted to start to implement? That's the part that have me nervous. And also when I returned from Ghana, and I was only there for 2 weeks, but when I returned, it was like I had a difficult time breathing this air, like it was sharp or something, and my body temperature was off. Had to put on the heat. So dress warm. It's a big difference from here in the states and that tropical weather. But then you probably already know this.

Our interaction with the police here in the US has been very little (2 or 3 speeding tickets over 30 plus years). I don’t know anyone personally who has been shot. It is a lot of places that are infected with COVID-19. Stay safe. Are you and your family have to go to the same protocol like you did when you first got to Ghana? Amen
