Cole, speaking here as a professional nail technician with training on care of nails and what to do with a nail injury (admittedly that's the worst I've seen so far in my 9 year career) but one thing I was taught is now that you have made that hole, to lessen the pressure, you need to keep the dust and debris away from the nail at all times, also keep water away from that area. Essentially what you need to do is keep it from getting infected.

Cole, my experience of remodeling a home with plaster lathe, is to remove plaster and lathe at the same time. Also removing all your trim work will assure no damage to the wood work if you op to reuse the wood work. I've really enjoy your farming videos. I'm also a big fan of your remodeling project also.....I'm currently remodeling my home which was built in 1910. Thanks!

When I was about 8 I came across my Dad and my Uncle performing a similar procedure. They used a fine drill bit spun between two fingers instead of a hot wire. Got through the nail and the trapped blood spurted out. I was appalled 'til Dad said letting it out relieved the pressure and stopped the pain. then I just thought it was cool.

Little trick shown to me by the Doc on my ship.... Jammed my index finger one day and gave myself a black nail. I could feel my pulse without even trying. The Doc took a hypodermic needle without the syringe and put the point down on the Center of the black nail . He just kinda twizzled the needle around between his thumb and fingertip using the needle to drill through my finger nail. No pressure, no pain and instant relief when he broke through. No fire or smell of burning fingernail required. It was bloody brilliant. I now keep a hypodermic needle in my first aid kit for just that job.

03:18 I know I'm being a little picky, but 96,000 bushels of dry corn weighs about 5,376,000 pounds. If each axle carries 20,000 pounds, you will need 269 axles to haul 96,000 bushels.

I have a couple of small sharp drill bits I use for when I smash one of my fingers. Just spin the bit with your thumb and finger. When you get through it will squirt a little blood out which relieves the pressure. It’s best to operate as soon as the spot under your finger nail gets a spot under it. Don’t wait.

A little tip for you finger cole!!!! Just use a sterile hypodermic needle and slowly just twist it in your nail. You don’t need to heat it cuz it’s super sharp so just place on nail and twist it with some pressure until blood starting coming out. I’ve done it on both my fingers and is way better than heating a paperclip!

I have used a jeweler s drill bit to drill a hole in my finger nails many times. They are super super small and real sharp. Just a few twists with my fingers and it was done. If you have never needed to do this you have no idea of dang irritating that is. The finger or thumb will throb and throb. You will feel every single heartbeat. And it feels good when you open up that nail and the pressure drops. It will squirt to the ceiling
