Mr. Mac layers his "jokes" with multi-faceted nuance, innuendo, puns, euphemisms, double entendre, etc. Thus, it is probably not for people who take things literally; (at face value).

@@LeenaStark not to have a go at you specifically, but I wish people would get over using "x thing cured my depression" as a throwaway 'joke'. For one, if it did cure you, then what you had wasn't clinical depression. For two, the amount of overuse it gets on the wider internet really undermines the significance of the condition, and trivialises the very real struggles of millions of people who are by definition unlikely to stand up for themselves. I know that's not your fault, and on its own this post is pretty innocuous, but I see people say this sort of thing a lot and these things have a way of building up in people's minds over time. Then one day you get to where we are now, where everyone and his dog is self diagnosing themselves with depression for convenience or attention because they think depression is just "feeling a bit flat" as opposed to the chronic, persistent and debilitating issue that true depression is for a lot of people. We don't say "that joke was so funny it cured my cancer" because that would be in poor taste. So why is it OK for mental health? /rant
