It's just their album's opening intro track Prelude 21/12. AFI has been doing intro tracks on their albums now since Art of Drowning came out Sept. 27th, 2000. Least I think that's right lol. *Edit* The first album they did an intro track on wasn't art of drowning, it was black sails in the sunset. Brittany W I’m just going off memory but I don’t even think Miss Murder follows Prelude on the album. So it is kind of weird that they did it for the video that way. I think both songs individually are great but not sure you need to hear them together. They are separate songs.

I've never really thought of them as an "emo" band but I think it's really hard for me to define them as anything other than just RAD. Hell no 90's AFI was where it was at! I have been to multiple shows back then and just a little story about how awesome it was back then. I was at a club called "Jimmies" in New Orleans and one of my friends was talking to this guy off to the side saying he can't wait to see AFI etc. and dude didn't even realize he was talking to Davey! LMAO. During the opening band he jumped into the mosh pit and got his lip busted and he loved every second of it! Right before they started Davey was pacing back and forth on stage running his hands through his hair getting psyched up and OMFG did that whole damn room explode when they started playing. He gave the mic to me and my brother multiple times during certain songs because he could see we knew the lyrics which was something ill always remember. That was the best AFI show I had ever been to and one of those memories ill always cherish.

Nice choice! I actually just found when doing some cleaning, one of those sleeve things for your car visor filled with a bunch of mixed CDs that I made back in the day. A couple of AFI songs made it onto them. My little sister-in-law had a huge crush on Davey (lead singer) and is actually the one that introduced me to them. There's a lot of good songs, and also some kinda-silly ones that I just love. High School Football Hero still brings a grin to my face and gets me jamming every time. (I wanna try and drink my weight in beer ... Oh!)

Quick story about me and my experience with AFI for no reason really. When I was younger I was in a really really bad place. For a while I'd thought about killing myself. One night I'm at a friends apartment and these two punk rock kids that lived below her came up to hangout. Sing the Sorrow by AFI had dropped that day and they picked up on their way home. I knew who AFI were but I never really heard any of their songs so me and these two kids listen to the whole album together for the first time. We were all blown away. That album made me realize that Davey saw the beauty in tragedy and it really made me feel better. We listened to that album over and over for the rest of the night. Probably like 6 hours or so. The next day I went out and got the album and listened to it every night for months.... and I didn't want to die anymore. AFI basically saved my life.

I was 2 when this album came out and my dad used to play the songs in the car everyday. I found them again a couple weeks ago and it brought back memories of me in the back seat just dancing and singing with my dad. Good times.

@@asuraXTC I think the inspiration Davey had during the Decemberundreground era was mostly inspired by glam rock like David Bowie. I love me some visual kei though, usually the darker heavy side of it. Also a funny side note, AFI fucking hates the song Miss Murder lol
