Back to Work Makeup and My First PAT McGRATH Eyeshadow Experience

Today's video features my first experience using a Pat McGrath eyeshadow product! Even though this is quite an old release, I thought it would be fun to film a look using it.
I filmed this video on my first day of returning to working in the office after almost three years of working from home! I'll be filming more back-to-work looks in the coming weeks as it's been interesting for me to see which products I have been reaching for when I've been more stretched for time in the morning and want to put a look together.
Apologies for the very loud music at the end! That was a technical mishap on my part!

Hi Pia! So glad you enjoyed this. The light blue shade in Guerlain's Mystic Peacock would be a suitable substitute for this blue. Ugh yes, long fingernails are a huge no-no for a massage! I hope you're doing well. ❤️

Stunning look as usual. I was hoping you bought Ottoman Brown…my second favorite after Latin Carmine. Would the Sisley powder work for dry, mature and very fair complexion? Good luck going back into the office.

Thank you, Jane! ❤️ I love Ottoman Brown so much. It's been my go-to shade for work this week. The Sisley powder is wonderful for dry, mature skin as it's a very silky powder that doesn't enhance texture at all (I find it much silkier than Chantecaille's Perfect Blurring Powder). As for the shade, if you're much lighter than me, then it may unfortunately be too dark for you. My friend bought it, and she wears shade 3 in the Surratt Dew Drop foundation (which I believe is also Michele Wang's shade), and she said it's a bit too dark for her. I hope that helps! I'm hoping that Sisley releases that powder in more shades since it's such a beautiful product.

Happy New Year, Deb! ✨ I hear you, I also had zero interest in PML until I saw my mum's eyeshadow quad of hers. I doubt I'll ever purchase one of her larger mothership palettes though as I much prefer quads for eyeshadows. Those brands you mention offer beautiful eyeshadows! I really love Sisley's eye products especially. 😍 I am a permanent resident of Canada and got my PR status in 2012. I sometimes think about returning to Australia at some point, but I am happy in Canada for now! I'm a huge grump in hot weather, but I do miss the food and beaches in Australia quite a lot. ❤️ Take good care and chat to you soon!

So nice to meet another luxury beauty shopper who understands the pain of currency exchange and paying duties here in Canada! I really enjoy buying makeup through Selfridges as they include the duties/taxes at checkout and their retail prices are often cheaper than local retailers here, even after duties are added. I pay for the $75 free annual shipping since it covers itself quite quickly with the amount of money saved from individual items. Brands like Sisley, Guerlain, and La Mer are much cheaper there! Other than Selfridges, I buy from Holt Renfrew whenever they have promotions and occasionally Nordstrom as well. Where do you like to buy your makeup? ❤

I really love using it. 😍 I know, I left knowing I should have just been more vocal, but it felt incredibly uncomfortable already and he didn't seem to understand what I meant by hard pressure as he was still so light-handed! And he had me truly puzzled as to why he never lifted the sheet off my back. 😂 I hope you're feeling better! ❤
