yes, please do the last declutter. I enjoy those because that's when the true opinions on products over time come out. Everyone raves and loves new shiny gifts, purchases, etc but it's the declutter videos that truly show the honest onions on what has real merit in usage and keeping.

Oh, I so can! I just bought two more rings. But, in a sense, it was a need. I have rings that I can size them, but it compromises them. I can't wear them in summer because my hands are so swollen. I also just bought a Chanel liner in Eros because I needed a sparkly red and Sisley stick shadow in Black Rose. Now, I do have reds and blacks, but not like these. I also didn't buy in excess. Just those two things. The same way I bought the two rings. Now, my hack is to take stock of what I already have. I NEED nothing else at the moment. Maybe just some shirts, but they don't have the style I want, so that will wait a bit. My other hack is I don't buy in excess like aforementioned. That way, I can have nice things, but my nice things don't have me. I believe that luxury makeup, hair and skin care are an investment in myself. But, I buy these things wisely and the products have to work or I feel like I'm just paying for brand names.

Thank you so much, Britney. I've learned a lot about skin care from your videos. And your skin looks so youth and smooth and shining, a dream of any women! I just have one question about the steps to apply the La Mer Oil and the Infused Lotion, I hope you can help me to figure out how to apply these beautiful products: I don't know which step to apply the La Mer Infused Lotion and the La Mer Oil among these ones: The Treatment Lotion, The Genaissance Infused Lotion, The Genaissaine Serum, The Concentrate, The Renewal Oil, and The Moisturizer. Could you please recommend me how to apply them? Thank you so much.
@bornblushing
@bornblushing 2 ай бұрын
Hi Liên! I'm so glad you've found my videos helpful. You have some really beautiful products! So in terms of the order to apply them, I would do something like this: 1. Treatment Lotion OR Genaissance Infused Lotion (I find these perform a similar function, so no need to use both. Maybe opt one for the morning and one for the evening? I apply these directly after cleaning and toning). 2. Genaissance Serum and/or The Concentrate 3. If you're applying the Renewal Oil separately from the cream (I usually combine the two together), then I'd apply the oil first and then the cream! The cream is always the final layer, especially since it is so thick :) I hope this helps!

Hi beautiful! I came across and wanted to ask if you are still using the same La Mer products? I use mostly Sisley. And I too have rosacea, but more than your skin. Wondering, if you have tried Sisley brand and your thoughts on it. Also, what foundation, concealer you are wearing her (if your remember) Thank you.

Hi Sarah! Thanks for watching. I still use La Mer's original cream at night -- I can't be without it! I mix it with a drop of Sisley's Black Rose Oil and it's divine. Unfortunately, I couldn't justify repurchasing the other products, as much as I love them, and they've reformulated The Tonic since this video, which is a shame as I LOVED that texture and formula! I haven't tried the new one but I heard it's very similar to The Treatment Lotion in terms of viscosity. For rosacea, I found their Genaissance Infused Lotion to be fantastic. Love Sisley! My favourites are their Velvet Sleeping Mask and Black Rose Oil. I believe in this video I was wearing Sisley's Cushion Foundation! And the concealer is the one by Cle de Peau. Hope this helps!

I was so happy to see another video from you, they always make my day!! I always love hearing your thoughts and it was also so fun seeing your new skincare routine, I definitely can relate to wanting to simplify my routine more and more (also did BR for a while and it was exhausting at times!). Your routine looks so lovely & it's so great that you already know the brands that work for you and know that you can rely on them, I feel like the moment I think a brand is perfect for me it stops working, so right now I'm testing and trying to figure out my skincare routine which is a bit annoying😅. I've mainly been using Agent Nateur & the Pavise sunscreen I think I told you about before, if you like a super simple routine this one is so great in the mornings because I can literally just use that & a mist. Also, congratulations on keeping your shopping addiction under control, I unfortunately, have been going a bit crazy with the shopping lately so this video was very good for me, I loved when you said "I am going to make sure it lasts", it really resonated with me because it's so easy to say "I hope..." because it's like you are leaving the responsibility to someone else, but really one has to remember that you do have a choice and you do have the ability to spend your money in a more conscious way, of course, for some of us it might take a bit of more time and effort but we can do it, you are living proof of that haha. Thank you for sharing, hope you're well!💕 P.S. Your new pink chair looks fabulous!

I actually watched this the second I saw it in my feed, but had to come back to comment. I am the same way about baths! I keep trying to like them, but they just kind of stress me out. I end up showering before the bath just so I don't feel like I'm sitting in dirt. But then I feel like I need to shower again once the bath is done to get rid of any soap residue. I always end up more exhausted than I was before it all began. The fact that the term "limbic capitalism" even exists is shocking. And the idea of how shopping is an acceptable form of addiction because it's "constructive" in the sense of building the economy isn't surprising, but it's a little scary. It sounds like you're really finding your groove when it comes to healing your relationship with shopping. It's amazing what burnout can do. ;-) I hope you're managing to find balance in other areas of your life, too. I'm glad to hear that your insomnia is a little better too. Thank you for the reminder that small changes can make a noticeable difference.

Yeah, baths are still a very strange concept to me. It LOOKS like it would be more relaxing than what it actually is. I did take a shower immediately after being in the tub! Yeah, limbic capitalism is so predatory! It’s not surprising but definitely unsettling. I really do feel like I’m *finally* making progress towards “recovering” from this addiction. It makes me look back and wonder what the heck I was thinking for so long! It’s funny how issues that feel so complex often have such simple solutions that can help. When you said the excitement poofs into thin air, it made me think of the bubbles in the bath! 😂😮 I’m trying really hard not to beat myself up for my over-purchasing over the past couple of years. I just discovered makeup, and I had to try lots of things to figure out what worked for me and what I like. Now I know, and now I know better. I also had absolutely no sense of how long it would take to use up a skincare or cosmetic product. I guess I thought I would be using up each thing within a few weeks! Grad girlies unite! 💕 It was nice to research something that I feel quite passionate about and have years of first-hand experience with. It was like being the researcher and participant at the same time! Baths are a pretty weird concept to me as well. Before the one I filmed for this video, I think I hadn’t been in a bath for years. Steamy showers are definitely where it’s at! I want to try experimenting with shower bombs (I think that’s what they’re called - they release a nice scent in the shower). Thank you! I love that pink chair. I agree that white beige houses are just NOT it. Out of sight and out of mind is crushingly simple but it seems to really work. I seem to only take bathes when necessary (aka achy). The last time was in a deep outdoor tub in the forest but there were actually too many bubbles for me. I started having to scoop them out lol. But it definitely sounds less fun to have them disappear as quickly as the heat in yours! Knotted headbands are the bubble headbands for 2024 🥰. Where is yours from? Love the magnetic spoon on the cleanser. Brilliant. Is it your fav brand, above Augustinus as well? I was just thinking an oil cleanser would be perfect to use with a facial massage tool 😂. Omg my first time using P50 I wiped it across my face and the BURN, holy sh*t lol! Does the La Mer body oil balm leave a silky sheen on your legs? I came across a Nuxe one that does and I love the look& feel, but the scent isn’t for me. Applying hair oil at night sounds fun, will try that too 🤪. One of my biggest dilemmas is the time/energy exchanged for something. Unless it’s truly justified (most of the time it’s not) the cost of time is far greater a sacrifice vs money. And sometimes the realization of the time wasted debating propels me to buying so I can stop thinking about it 😂. Or, more ideally, simply forgetting about it. I wish we didn’t have to reach burnout to have life epiphanies but I’m glad you were able to choose a topic for research that resonated so much to deepen your current life goals 😊. Thank you for sharing your insights and experiences as well. It gives us wonderful bits to reflect on as well for ourselves. Finding our own inner spark is so true and really resonated with me. I also appreciate that you highlighted finding the joy in the smaller moments bc in my similar newfound apathy it has been the smaller things that I find contentment in. And it also explains why I have felt less social - I am seeking the spark of joy w/in first! Another great video as always, can’t wait for the next!! P.S. what will you do with the other skincare goodies in your collection? Use them up intermittently?

Your description of your thoughts about the DHL truck we’re so on point! Today I was walking the dog and saw an Amazon van roaming around the neighborhood. I had a similar experience to what you described, and I hadn’t even ordered anything! Then I was sad that I hadn’t ordered anything because if I had that truck would be stopping at my door! So crazy! What I’ve just started doing for my hack is giving myself permission to buy things I need at full price. I will buy what I need, and only what I need, when I need it whether it is on sale or not. I don’t have to wait for a sale. I found that what happens is that I always overspend during a sale and I get way more things than I planned, and I buy things I never would have bought at all just because it’s a “good deal. “

That rush we feel when seeing the delivery trucks is really something, isn't it? We can get FOMO even from seeing delivery drivers! Your full-price rule is great. I have a friend who is following a very similar system, and it's also worked out really well for her! It's SO easy to go overboard during sales. Well done!

I've been waiting to watch this video ever since I saw you published it. It was worth the wait. I'm a little envious of your wonderfully curated, relatively minimalist (for the beauty community) collection. Perhaps someday I'll get to that point. Until then, my makeup monster needs variety to frolic freely. And that's why I don't think you're crazy for having so many blushes when the rest of your collection is relatively minimal. Having variety in a favorite category is so much fun! A good brown mascara is like a unicorn. The best one I tried was from Lancome (Monsieur Big). But at least in my memory, it wasn't a true brown. It was more of a brown black. Those Chantecaille shadows really are amazing, aren't they? Thank you so much for sharing the review video! It was great hearing your thoughts on the Surratt Soufflé shadows. I'm still so curious about many of their items. I can imagine it was a lot of work editing this. Thanks for putting in all the effort! It was a joy to watch.

I always appreciate you being here! I completely understand the makeup monster needing variety, having its own little playing field of different colours and textures. A good brown mascara is VERY hard. I'm struggling to find a better mascara than my beloved Sisley So Volume. *MASSIVE sigh Those Chantecaille shadows really are magical. I finally "get it" now! You really did do give them justice in your video. I'm excited to see your makeup monster dip its toes into Surratt one day. ;) Thank you for always being here, Stephanie! ❤

@@bornblushing you taught me to have more of a sophisticated taste in a red lipstick. I used to gravitate towards bright and didn’t want to go for a richer deeper tone but now that I do, I can never look back. Such a nice video for a Sunday afternoon, while doing my reset skincare routine. From La Mer Im curently using only the original cream at night - This is a must for me on my retinol nights to avoid irritation. Other brands I like to use: sisley, clarins, augustinus bader, chantecaille and Autur. I'm wiling to try Biologique Research and cellcosmet. I almost never use prescription for lack of interest: They are so boring to apply, no nice texture or good fragrance. I used to like french pharmacy cults, but today they are quite rare on my vanity.

Thanks so much for your kind comment and for sharing! My skincare routine has changed quite a bit since this video, but I'm still using the original cream at night. It's just too good! What do you like to use from Clarins? Right now I'm using products by Furtuna Skin, Sisley, Biologique Recherche, and La Mer. I have used Cellcosmet before and just love their creams for daytime!

@@bornblushing I never tried Furtuna products, but how nice you like Cellcosmet! I've done a spa treatment a few weeks ago and I'm in love with this brand. I have a full list of products to try on from them. Concerning BR, by now I'm interested on their P50. The other products? I don't know. it's all so intimidating over there. And of course I've seen your collab with Shana from Smelly Skin, together w other reviews and my enthusiasm for this brand kind of faded. I love love love La Mer! But I think their star ingredient and only one is the miracle broth. Don't get me wrong, their formulations are fabulous, always so balanced, smooth and really enjoyable to apply, but I have a kind of concise skincare routine, w a small selection of products. So I chose the original cream to guarantee my access to this formulation - which is so healing. Another brand I really enjoy purchasing is Clarins, which I consider a sister from Sisley. They always have similar solutions, w the same vision - natural ingredients, harvested in their own farm in France. If I have to buy stmh from sisley, I look for it at Clarins as well and buy the one that fits my needs better, wo looking at the price difference. I like Clarins tonics (the yellow one is so good), micellar water, milk cleanser, face and body oils. I heard their face scrubs are amazing! I enjoy their night creams - rose, red and orange ones, although I purchase more targeted creams like, SisleYa, Augustinus Bader and Auteur. And can I tell you Clarins double serum is amazing? Yes it is. Also, their UV broad spectrum is so nice and gives an elegant finish, so hard to achieve. I just stock up every spring for the whole year. Yep, I think That's it. Sorry for the huge post.

So sorry for my late response here! I totally get your hesitancy with BR... all these years later, I only use P50 from them now. La Mer really is sensational. Miracle broth is appropriately named! I also appreciate a concise skincare routine and La Mer really fits the bill for that since it's so nourishing and healing. Clarins -- I should look into that line more! I really enjoy one of their body creams, so I should explore their facial line more as well. Thanks for recommending the yellow tonic as I'm on the lookout for a slightly more affordable toner! And I've heard amazing things about their Double Serum and SPF! You have amazing taste in skincare. ❤

All of us falling for the Gift With Purchase! But it's kinda FREE!?! OMG the mirror and case. I'm a sucker for mirrors. Brittany tempting me with Louboutin lipsticks, bc I HAVE to match my new Louboutin foundation, amiright? Love Dune Kiss on you, as an every day easy lipstick. Maybe Soft Goji runs too cool for your undertone? Either one, matte or satin, 001 Rouge Louboutin is stunning on you! Makeup is my armour of "fake it til I make it", or at least until I wake up. You influenced me to put Dune Kiss on my Wish List! I really like how you combined warm and cool tones in your GRWM.

Hi Brittany, I loved watching your process in decluttering. You've inspired me to go through my collection and remove some unloved makeup in my collection. I'm stuck at my lipstick collection bc it's so out of hand! So impressed how you were able to curate your collection down to the absolute essentials! Your Dries Van Noten lipstick cases!🤩 I so wish cosmetic companies standardized the lipstick refills so we can move our lipsticks around in different cases. I'm also guilty of buying 2 to 3 of the same type of lipstick product, just in case! To try it out! Gah! I love the Guerlain cosmetic cases, more than the actual lipstick formula. Maybe sell the cases online? The Graphic Ochre runs a smidge too warm for my liking. Wow, I can't believe you whittled down your collection to 14 lipsticks! That Byredo Red & Blue is some of the best red lipstick shade! It'd be so great to see a video of all your favorite lipsticks try-on. Also, would love to hear an update and your thoughts on using the Oura ring. Great video Brittany!

Hi Miki! Thanks so much for watching this. I'm glad you're feeling inspired to go through your own collection as well! It is a bit tiresome but so worth it after it's all done. I totally agree that companies should standardize lipstick refills! Of course, not great for them but would be amazing for us. ;) I know what you mean about Graphic Ochre. I really loved wearing it but now that I'm leaning more towards cool tones, I decided against repurchasing it. Byredo Red and Blue is my all-time favourite red! Such a stunning colour. It would look electrifying on you! Oooh yes, I have lots to share about the Oura Ring as well! Wasn't sure if people were interested or not, but I'll make sure to chat about it in an upcoming video! Thanks so much again for being here, Miki!

That is the first declutter I've seen where you don't have a suitcase full of every product, and end up with half a suit case of every product!! When would they possibly use it?? Your palettes are actually Used, and not just one slight dimple in one shade on a 36 pan palette! A nice neat layout in the clear case. I have to admit, I have 4 draws, twice as deep, with dividers and a lipstick holder sitting on the top, but I use all the different colours, and I do declutter from time to time, usually just a lipstick here, or a shadow there, same as you, I just don't use that colour any more... tastes change....or I have bought something new and it has the colours I use, so I can get rid of a couple of palettes that I just use one shade from, I've even pulled out the one shade I like and put it together with one shade I like from another palette and given the rest of it away and make up my own little palette of favourites 😍 😊

I don't think some of the shades u tried were unflattering on you but I think the ones you liked the most were so great because they did have a more sophisticated affect, if that makes sense.
