how I transformed my TINY bathroom into a spa-like oasis.

One of the biggest consequences of going on a beauty low buy this year was channelling that chaotic shopping energy into giving my teeny weeny bathroom a makeover. It was quite the mission. Here's how it turned out.
Towards the end of the video, I also give you my thoughts on how my low buy went this year as well as some new goals for 2024.

yes, please do the last declutter. I enjoy those because that's when the true opinions on products over time come out. Everyone raves and loves new shiny gifts, purchases, etc but it's the declutter videos that truly show the honest onions on what has real merit in usage and keeping.

In my first apartment by myself, I had an avocado green kitchen counter that opened to the living room. I wasn’t allowed to paint or change anything. My grand idea was to embrace it. I chose black and cream as accent colors to the green and decorated with those colors. I loved it, embracing the things I couldn’t change made me think outside the box and be creative.

I CHANGED OUT MY OWN SHOWER HEAD NOT LONG AGO, TOO! (It took me more like an hour because I had to clean some gunk out of the pipe, then I screwed on the new shower head crooked the first time.) Once finished, I felt like I deserved an adulting award. The difference is astonishing...probably saves money on my water bills, too. Lovely to see your face again, and what a nice bathroom! It’s unrealistic to entirely stop doing things all together but with a balance mindset you accept that you can indulge at times and refrain others. Seeing all the easy ways you classed up your powder room was so inspiring. Mine is soooo basic and kind of hideous (I relate to those salmon tiles and tub). Maybe I'll actually put some effort into my own at some point. Like you, I'm not a handyperson, so "renovations" seem intimidating to me. But the final impression of your room is gorgeous, and the way you successfully integrated the hideous groundwork into a beautiful result was stunning, so maybe there's hope for me! I'm not sure what came over me to brave the "renovation" as I am the LEAST handy person pretty much to have ever existed. I am glad I decided to do it, though, as being in my bathroom now feels much nicer compared to the hideous sight it was before. Thank you, Jana! It's so funny that you ask about my shower gel because my favourite one is certainly not fancy. I do have a bottle of Mila Moursi shower gel in my shower (I forgot to show it), and while that one is fine, I still prefer my $5 bottle of men's shower gel that I get from the drugstore (it's by a brand called Bulldog, and I like their peppermint one). I've yet to find a fancy shower gel that I've loved enough to repurchase. Which do you use? And great job for embarking on your skincare no buy! I bet you'll feel great for it. Will you also have a bathroom makeover soon? 😉

LOVE your beautiful bathroom!! Your personality really comes through in the colors, patterns and details. I have the same LED lights and I think they're fabulous. TBH.... I ADORE your past declutter videos and have rewatched them! I do find most people's declutter videos to be so boring but the very few people that I watch that have very thoughtful collections I do love their declutters! I play them as I'm decluttering to give myself inspirational reminders that I also don't need to keep this or that.... sooooo if you feel so inclined I would love to see you talking through your products and I would look forward to your future inventory too! lol "no one cares, no one cares" - oh, but I do care! haha 😂 I'm proud of you for your low-buy! Thank you! My beauty low buy was successful, but it did seem to cause me to be obsessed with other things (like the bathroom!). Ooh yes, I do often rotate the reeds, but I find the scent just dies down so fast. It's okay though as I much prefer the bottle than the scent. ;) I think Jo Malone and Aqua di Parma's diffusers are much more impactful, but of course their bottles are less cute. I still love good skincare and great makeup but after declutterring, I realized that as time goes on u know what products work for u and ones u reach for over and over. Balance is everything, happiness come in small moments. Live consciously. Gratitude for what we have. It’s very freeing and I can no longer relate to vids that have these ridiculous hauls.
