I felt like I could never really connect with my back and every other muscle honestly until I started binge watching your content. My ego is left at the door now and I’m solely taking my time to focus on actual mind muscle connections and start training for real. THANK YOU
@ingagesecurity85303 жыл бұрын
Your posts have helped my recover from 3 injuries in 8 months, all of which required surgical intervention. 1. Aug 2020: a completely torn Left hamstring 2. March 22: a partially torn R Meniscus 3. April 2021: 70% torn Left biceps tendon After living in the gym for over 1/2 my life (owning 4 for a few years too and working with some of our own trainers), I was within striking distance of the shape I wanted (more or less). The injuries and subsequent rehab periods were difficult in so many ways. Checking ego at the door and hobbling around between PT and the weight room floor was humbling. Then I found your channel and decided to go back to formula with training and start studying your videos. I have learned so much and applied it to my recovery. Now? I am nearly back to full strength in some areas and actually better than before than others. Your rep tempo, movement ariations, focus on lighter and far more controlled movements etc have made a huge difference. And the no BS way you deliver info is terrific! Just wanted to say thank you. You coached me and didn't know it. Thanks again.

The funny things is that if any1 would do any of these exercises like this, I would think they were using poor form/doing cheat reps. When Ryan does it and explains it i'm like "yea makes sense" lol
@dharmaram75274 жыл бұрын
Ciro Gomorra That’s how things evolve in life. People question things of the status quo, and explore and find other ways. If it works for some than it works. For example the first exercise is essentially starts at a vertical pathway of the muscle fibers and ends with a horizontal pathway (horizontal row).

Watching Ryan do lat pull downs is enough just to see how I’ve been doing lat pull downs so wrong my whole life. You can see they trajectory of the wide grip bar so clearly in such a short video and correcting yourself to that movement really means those lats light up!! Thank you Ryan - if they ever have a fitness KZbinr of the year award you have my vote!

Found the most incredible way to really stretch & train your lats- use a heavy resistance band attached to a pull up bar so it’s around shoulder width, with the body around 1 metre in front grab band at shoulder width with both Hands as if doing a pullover , the beauty of this is you can really feel the stretch plus you can adjust until comfortable. Did 4 sets of 8-12 reps and had the most insane pain the next day . Also prefer to seated option feels more natural.

This content is important to me, as a person that has tried to just “pain and gain” my way through training, not that effort is unimportant, but Ryan’s approach is much more thoughtful. It’s created with the idea in mind that focus, planning, and precision are, at least, as important as the effort. A technical approach, with a healthy dose his own personal ingenuity.
