From what I have been researching the motor in this is capable of producing the 35hp of its bigger brother, but they had to cut it down to 26hp to be below the thresholds of a diesel motor requiring emissions crap. Any thoughts? Thanks

Happy New Year Dan! Loved seeing the support you guys give one another like everyone tuning into see Brad the other night. Great job using a bucket for snow removal! Everyone has opinions and what works for them. In my case, I like killing two birds with one stone so I have a heavy duty blade on the rear that can be turned for pushing or pulling as well as angle and tilt. With the rear blade you have something for yesr round use vs a snow plow only.

That was a "Great job" Mr. Dan on pushing all those "ounces" of snow off the paved driveway. The "First time" with my ( slightly bigger" trak-tor "plowing snow" ,it being wet,heavy and 15 inches was a "disaster ".... SO COMPLETELY IN-EFFICIENT ! Thinking there had to be a "Better Way"; could Not Believe my 8000lb Brand New Tractor of 42,000$ was such a "SLOB" when it came to "Plowing Snow". SO l went back the the "Old -Way" ; With the 22year old 16 hp ,2 wheel drive light weight, wheel weighted chain drive ,angle-matic Snow-Dozer- Miricale-wonder "D-9" WHEELHORSE C16H.!! Simply Said ,by Having a "Angle-matic" Snow-Dozer Blade is "WHERE IT'S AT". By the way of "Plowing-pushing Snow " with a LOADER BUCKET ( only) ,ranks in the "Top 10" dumbest Idea-effort-process's l have EVER HAD.... My "Brain" kicked in & Slaped a big piece of plywood( roped it on) to my Bigger, NEWER,more powerfull ,Expensive,Heavier, 4wd 54Horsepower "Front-end loader Bucket ..... Then PROGRESS Was MADE ! With a LOADER mounted "Snow-dozer" Angle blade, Snow-Pusher, Snow Blower ( front or back) ,or the "simple" back 3point mounted blades ,or silly "plywoood" there CAN Be "SUCCESS". LOADER Buckets are for moving ALL OTHER MATERIALS ; Except Snow.!.!.... Thank you Sir for the Excelent Entertainment vidio. Best wishes with all your endeavours.

Nice video. I just purchased a TYM T574HC and was wondering how easy it would be to use it to remove snow with only the bucket. We don't get a lot of snow but I've got a 1200' driveway and when we do I'll need to get it cleaned up. Nice to see you did it just fine with only a bucket so I won't be buying a plow attachment for it.

Darnit, Shifty! You sent us some of your weather didn't you? Went from mild to shrinkage inducing cold and snowy overnight... And it only got colder as the day went by. At least "The Swamp" aka my yard will finally firm up a bit so I can work on the backlog of splitting that needs doing. And bring in yet another load of Ash. (because there's no such thing as too much of that!) Had to set my chopping block just inside the doorway to my shed, and split some pine there today. Only half swings could be done, but at least I got something done. It's been so rainy since July, that the yard is like chocolate pudding... Try splitting on that, and either the block gets drilled into the mud like a fence post- or the split pieces get all wet and muddy- or both.

Yup I’m down in the goose flats. All clay and silty loam. No bottom till you hit China. Once it freezes, you couldn’t poke a pin bar in with a 30 ton excavator. And in summer drought it’s harder than blacktop. Soon as one week of rain, can’t put one truck tire off the driveway without bottoming on the frame.

Hoping you were going to do another video on snowplowing with your tractor. If the snow got to be about 3 or 4 feet deep, do you feel it would still be capable of doing that driveway? The reason I am asking is, do I really need a snow blower if I have a similar driveway like the one you plowed, and I am on a tight budget with buying a ck2610 tractor with loader bucket. I have a 400 foot driveway.
@Back40Firewood2 жыл бұрын
If possible I'd definitely recommend getting a blower. The bucket works ok, but not the best once the snow gets deep and you've piled it as high as your bucket goes....and then need to move more....lol. Snow blower would be way to go, even the 3 pt mount ones I think would really work great.

Hey man I’m looking at kioti tractors. I can’t decide on the 2610 or the 3510. I think the difference is about 3k bucks. Have you ever wished you had more power on the 2610? We have the same splitter too. I picked it up a couple months ago. Only got to use it a few times so far but it’s a beast!
@Back40Firewood2 жыл бұрын
Nope, the 2610 has served me great. The 2610, 3510, & 4010 all have the same loader & lift capacity which is what I was most concerned with or needed most. The added HP is more for if you are pulling implements like plows or using it for farming purposes. That's what the dealer told me. 😀👍🍻
