Thank you Kevin for the basic techniques in the volley and get contact close to my body first. customer first It can be so confusing trying to figure it out all the steps by myself. Keep up the good teaching techniques

Very good lesson. I have always stressed this footwork with my students. I have them step slightly forward with the outside leg before planting but it's essentially the same. You're right this isn't taught enough which makes modern day players hesitant to come to the net and that can limit the ability of a player to reach their potential. Good lesson.

Great lesson. It's funny, I've been playing for a number of years and these techniques, I don't even think about anymore. It's good to know I haven't strayed too far from fundamental technique. Thanks.

It all makes sense….but when I see a college or ATP player warm up the volleys they aren’t moving forward they just seem to stand there and hit back perfect volleys…. How do they do this?

Hi Kevin, I'ven been watching closely. Great info in total but I can't help but seeing that the moment you hit is congruent with your forefoot hitting the ground. Big difference however is your preparation of loading outside foot and turning. In practicing hitting the ball in this video I didn't see your lunge move either I guess but that's all fine with me. Great fan of yours!

There's so much bad instruction going on out there on these courts. KZbin coaches have dispelled many tennis myths that I constantly see and hear delaying students' progress severely.
